The devil is a beautiful woman, I crumble in her haunting presence.
She's stained inside the past and she ascends into the present.
She purrs and twirls inside my ears, "the devil's voice is sweet to hear."

That's a pretty .22, up there above the fireplace, I bet it would look prettier reflected on my pretty face. The devil is a pretty girl, her shadow is Tahitian pearl.
She comes and goes without consent, she plagues my dreams with evil ****.

I wish the devil was here now, she'd grab a knife and show me how.
The devil has the worst suggestions, I'm prisoner to her subjections.
The devil is here and she is vile, I think she's going to stay a while.

The devil and I might become friends, I hope she doesn't leave again.
We could cook our dinner fancy, play around with necromancy.
Maybe the devil isn't real, she's just a feeling that I feel.

Golden Dawn
Kat Jun 2019
I dream of you...
My flawless Apollo
Unable to fathom
Yet easy to follow

In the darkness
I can't tell the King from a pawn
But with the death of a god
Came the first Golden Dawn

In a permanent sleep
I'm impaled to the bed
The most beautiful dagger
Stabbed me right through the head

Though I'm happy for that
'Cause I think with my heart
Death is but the beginning
When you play with the arts

I untangle the sword
To push you off of me
Could Romeo & Juliette
Still love with a lobotomy?

The answer is yes
I yank the sword from your chest
Then mummify your body
And cover you in amulets

From the Book of the Dead
I recite you a prayer
    "Your heart is mine
And it is at rest there."

I lye down beside you
Re-bludgeon myself
From zombie to angel
Into Heaven from Hell

Corpses in a pyramid
What perfect symmetry
Death is short
But love is for eternity

Smoke and Mirrors
Kat Oct 2019
White vines, dripping wet with iridescent droplets
Shimmers in the dancing, early morning beams of sunlight
Drifting on, bathing all the land in its forgiving golden rays
Holographic opal beads, rolling down the twisted arms
Falling below and feeding the core, drowning the worms
Eating decay

White vines, contorting their selves up the tattered, pink walls
Shrouded by nothing, exposed to the universe
Growing invasively, intertwining with unwilling participants
Always tangling itself into intricate, harmonic clusters
White vines, climbing up the tarnished walls,
Tiptoeing through the open windows and climbing on my raveled bed

Where her pretty, peach lips wrap around the neck of the glass
Bleeding the remnants of her lipstick on the opaque mouth piece
Milky smoke clouds fill the pipe, spiraling into lawless ballets
Time stops, as her lungs fill up with snow-white spheres
Blushing cheeks and glittering, emerald eyes
Her lips move in slow motion as she exhales the misty silhouette of my dreams

The thickest smoke ring, drifting inwards to frame my face
She bats her black eyes and disfigures it with the flick of a finger
Morphing the circle into a bashful, puffy heart
It dissipates into the foggy blur, everything that isn’t her
Then somewhere in the waves of time, she too, disappears
A vague apparition in the dregs of my subconsciousness

White vines, singing Earth’s most haunting lullaby
We don’t want to hear it so we tune it right out
As it grows at an alarming rate, beautiful and dangerous
It twirls around my bed posts and wraps me in its bitter warmth
Drags me back to the familiar black abyss
Goodbye to my love, whom I’ll never meet again

— The End —
