believe me when I say I prayed for a girl
whose world was the shadows
& she came out of the darkness
into the white light; my girl
is a silhouette & I can't see her eyes;
she's all I need to engulf me
in the night; sky full of her sisters
& older relations but we get along
b/c I'm dark too, morbid & eerie;
Gothic & creepy & she's pristine,
always looks good, angel w/ corona,
a sprite w/ wings & I cant see a thing
except her shape at the window cast
over the mirror, darkening my eyes
to peer at her deeply; I love the feel
of her inner skin as we lay together
through midnights watching the wind
