There's nothing new
about this song
it's all been sung before
I'm just a broken soldier
bleeding from an ancient war

When I came home
there were no crowds
no bands for me did play
I slunk back like a refugee
And now I'm here to stay

Every door
was closed to me
no woman and no lover
to take my hand  to comfort me
to lead my heart to cover

You found me like
some fallen bird
you took me home and said
I feel this pain you carry
now come with me to bed

You took me in
you eased that pain
and soothed me in your arms
outside I heard the sirens scream
inside I learned your charms

You tried your best
to heal my wounds
to get me on my feet
but guilt was far too much for me
I left you for the street

I live alone
in poverty
I guess I'm here for good
there are no saints or saviors
in this fallen neighborhood

But listen to me
if you please
I need to hear your name
to know I'm not completely lost
upon these streets of pain

It's cold it's dark
I'm fevered and
I'm lost in bed alone
I never was much good at love
too weary to the bone

I need to kiss
your shining eyes
but you are far away
and I am caught so far from you
upon this lonely day

You were much
too good for me
my dark relentless lies
too good to see the enemy
within my felon eyes

I thank you
for your comfort
your body and your heart
the way you shared your bed with me
forgave me from the start

There's nothing new
about this song
it's all been sung before
I'm just a broken soldier
bleeding from an ancient war
Probably not finished; may never be.

I tiptoed across
Red and Yellow
Green and Blue

blending colours
to discover
Orange and Purple
and Pink

manifesting
our dreams
in
painted ink

permanently tattooed
into my skin

*tracing the path
down my spine
to where we begin
he traces my tattoos nightly,
lightly,
with gentle fingertips
at the end of the rainbow
is....

I am not a sufferer, just the sacrificial lamb, I walk everyday unto the slaughter but, I'm not the one ******. One who lives it every day is curled into a ball, just a tiny speck inside the universe I wish I was able to recall..
I would have the sun set upon your shoulders once again, to fight against the darkness but then, if you never slipped inside this hell and walked upon the path, would you be a better man or simply contine to hide behind your mask. I asked you yesterday, and twice today if tomorrow would be more kind? Your answer was "If the Earth shifted 10 degrees eastward then humanity is as ****** as I" and I sighed, for the question you did not understand. What I was truly asking was if you would come back restored,  as the man I adore, the one who I loved through eternity, but you reminded me you are no longer that man, the universe tilts on a different axis, we live in a parallel mind zone and when the time comes to own what's mine, I'll happily live beside you in your mind.

I feel it in my heart
I think it in my mind
I hear it every day
It's immortal in its time

I wear it on my sleeve
I hold it in my hand
I utter it repeatedly
every second that I can

I always think of you
the feelings overwhelming
It always reminds me of you
the incantation can be telling

just a little four letter word
that can, with any luck
completely describe my feelings

*****
best suffixed with ****** *'en ******* or *you*

You don't stand your ground!
Your feet never touch the earth
while you stand on the backs
of a thousand weeping girls
All thinking they were your first
All thinking they are your only
Never understanding your praise
was to your never ending, lonely
selfish, egotistical one handed being
eyes on the numbers, but never seeing.

So maniacal of Ego Deploration
your head is larger than any nation
A small country where you get lost
your glass house crumbling
beneath the frost of your Winter.

Every time you open your mouth
your absolute pretentiousness
finds a golden frame in truth
causing your ******* wall to splinter.

When repeating from an unknown source, it is still respectful to say
"These aren't my words"
of course, just borrowed thoughts

Come unto to us
as you promised
yet you hide

Step up, be a Man
your absence
is damaged pride

Bring forth your rapture
Shower the Earth
in Heavenly Rain

Or else step back
and return to Myth
in disdain

Don't preach to me
in fairy tales
drowning in contradictions

Come unto us

I Wish to God

to be free
of this affliction
Religion (organised or otherwise) makes my skin crawl...
