my dilemma

When I see you, I want to be your everything
When I hear you, I want to fill your life with joy
When I feel you, I want to mend every broken part

Yet...

To give what you need is to surrender what I've clung to
To be who you deserve is to cease being who I am

What am I to do?

Pursue you, surrendering me?
Avoid you, preserving me?
Abandon all I believe to have all I want?
Cling to my hope and let you drift away?

my dilemma

Do you mind if I chase you (at least in my dreams)?
Do you care if my fantasies make you their theme?
Is it alright that my heart makes you its desire?
Is it OK that within me still burns your fire?

I'll never push, or cross over the line
That separates my reverie from your daily reality

The illusion of you

i pursue, you retreat
i withdraw, you advance
i desire more, you offer less
i am finished, you begin

In my reality, you are only fantasy
