the more you say you are a beast
the more I want to kiss you
the more you say you are not beautiful
the more I want to shower you in love
and prove you wrong

A darling full of joy
your life is full of sunshine
for you live in those rays
you are the flower that blooms
in the morning you are covered in dewdrops
like Heaven's tears kissing you
like Jesus paints sunrises, sunsets, and rainbows
He painted you too
He gives you life and your every breath which you breathe
you are like rain falling kissing my fair cheeks
you are like the rainbow wearing it's colours bright
the colours you wear are full of happiness and joy
and that is what makes you special
you are the wind cooling me off on a hot day
for when I have a fever you're always there
placing a cool cloth on my face
you are china pretty and delicate
you are like the tree I sit up against when I read my book outdoors with the sunrays
shining on it's pages as you sometimes still hold me on your lap
even though I'm rather heavy you don't mind and always take it as a pleasure
you are like a daisy dancing in the breeze with your pretty eyes of brown looking through my blue ones
you are music for you love to play the piano
you are an angel and play my favourite instrument the harp
with your eyes dancing like a flower in the cooling breeze
you are like a creek for I love your melody the best
you are my Mamma!

I love rain
don't you?
I think it's like a lovely lullaby singing one to sleep at night
rain is a joy not a sorrow
when you hear it on your roof at night pattering a sweet song to help you sleep
in your warm bed
the best thing about is it brings lots of fun
rain
rain on pine needles
rain on trees
rain flowers
rain on grass
rain on bushes and plants
rain everywhere
rain falling from the dull grey sky
kissing my fair cheeks
raindrops
falling from the sky
like Heaven's tears falling from the clouds
rain like dewdrops that fairies drink
rain on honeysuckles in the enchanted forest
sparkling on thick hunter green moss like beads scattered for the fairies to make petals
for flowers
rain inside the fairy ring where at night fairies love to dance and sing
with hearts so carefree
their beauty like that of day
raindrops everywhere
even in Fairyland

I'm
crying
because
you left me,
like each tear
leaves my face,
the tears are falling
as you're falling for my grace,
a tear falls, slowly clinging to my skin
as I'm clinging to our love but it is the end,
In each tear is a memory of the love of you and I
as each tear is leaving my heart is saying good bye
In the 1st tear is your smile that makes my heart melt
the 2nd is your touch that's the best thing I've ever felt
the 3rd is the glint in your eye that shines like the sun
in the 4th is your lust for life that spreads to everyone
in the 5th is your faith in yourself, me, and humanity
in the 6th is your compassion and your empathy
who knows how many tears I will have to cry
before my heart can finally say
good bye

A monster lurks inside of me
I try not to pet or feed it
It's best to hide and let it be
To be me, I guess I need it

My monster is honest and curt
It doesn't often try to bite
When it's fangs come out, it can hurt
It never retreats from a fight

Not all have beasts so mean and tough
I want to be loved, it not much
I want to be soft, it is rough
Maybe I'm mean and it's my crutch

I hurt loved ones, telling the truth
Friends and strangers can get bit too
My blunt, true ways have crushed the youth
My monster destroys more than you

I'd slay the monster if I could
It makes me weep, it makes me blue
I, of all people, think I should
I just want to be loved by you
This is a serious issue for me, but I love the juxtaposition when it's read like a children's poem.

Once in a while
A flower blooms
Sprouts, shouts
In a dismal, dark room

And it makes
Me wonder
What if (just what if?)
It's birth hadn't been such a blunder

How would things be different?
How would that flower's life
Have been altered?
Relegated to obscurity from the first click of the knife

Was that flower given
That situation
Because it was able to handle it?
Was it meant to be a sensation?

And then I think
What if it was just random
As trivial as a grain of sand
In the midst of the worldwide kingdom?

Trivial, random
Sensational, remarkable
I'm just don't know
Which way I'm meant to turn the table

You see, I am a dog
loyal to the end, overbearing in my love to be sure
when you beat me
for years I still roll over on my back
thinking a belly rub would fix the bruises
eventually though, a tail goes between the legs
and some amount of reluctance and fear is felt
even were a master the same for years on end
a dog may be loyal but not stupid

And you, well you are a cat
indifferent, solitary and self satisfying
knocking dishes off the counters
hopping down and not looking back
******* in a box, knowing someone else will clean up the mess
feed you, pamper you and when you feel like giving love, you will
quite possibly with claws extended and teeth bared, hissing

And this is why I am now a cat to your dog
do you get it?
