HIM
Him
Years we’ve meet
Charming sweet you were
First word was like hymn
Words that made me smile at the thought of him
His first call light touch my heart like butterfly wings
And his presence made me sink
To me, he was a win
For him, I could sin
‘’ my other half.’
I thought

He is beautiful
And stole my heart
Oh what about that smile
A smile that made my heart race for a mile
At least I won’t be blamed for falling in love;
Would help me during a fall
Cry with me when hurt
He, my best friend
He loved me
I thought

He said
‘’I hate you
So Much but somehow
Meeting you was by chance.’’
The only person whose jokes I found them so funny
The only person I could sit quietly, call talking nothing
‘’You am not good for me.’’
The last words from him
I had to learn
The bitter truth
He was gone

What
makes tears
flow? Is it when
we feel low?
Or when
there
is
pain and
we don't know?
What does it make
it flow? Via
the checks
to
the flow,
Continuously like
a flood, Forming lines
of flour, In
the time
between
an
hour,
What
makes
tears
flow?

Days have changed

It is in a speech that we are Kenyans
But The content of our hands
Makes us know who we are
Deep state if you can earn
Hustler when life is hard
We use to have one anthem, same purpose, and song
The father of the nation would address us as daughters and sons
And that was the true independence
Days have changed

— The End —
