LIFE

Life is all about experiences,

Some may be good, some may be bad

But you’ve to embrace them all

Life is queer with its twists and turns

You may not be happy with what’s in store,

But you’ve to embrace them all

All you've to do is learn from your past,

And don’t repeat those mistakes

So those regretful memories don’t last.

No one said life would be easy,

But, in the end,  it would be worth it.

Honey

I seek your approval like a bear seeks honey.
But rather than sweet success
I am forced to swallow spoonful after spoonful of rejection.
The stinging feeling makes me want to gag.
Yet like a ******, I keep coming back for more.
Yearning for your comforting voice, that soothing high pitched melody.
But all I hear- is buzzing.

The bass amp in my room reminds me of you.
The buzzing, my sole comfort.
My fingers, swollen and bruised from endless hours of self pity.

The spot on my chest where you struck
Your sharp black dagger lodged between where I thought of you-
And where you thought I thought of you.

I gave you my all, and you flew and soared
Far, far away- majestic as ever.
Until I could barely make out those black and yellow stripes.

The Queen leaving her nest, leaving her workers
Abandoning her family for pastures greener
To fly out into the great unknown

I never did discover where you went.

But till this day- I still can't eat honey.

BarelyABard
I woke with a sleepy start to find the devil standing over my bed.
I screamed in alarm and punched that ******* in the head.

He frowned then said he was feeing lonely
with a sad little shrug
So I laughed and gave him a big bear hug.

Then God sent me to hell for being nice

Maya Angelou
A free bird leaps on the back
Of the wind and floats downstream
Till the current ends and dips his wing
In the orange suns rays
And dares to claim the sky.

But a BIRD that stalks down his narrow cage
Can seldom see through his bars of rage
His wings are clipped and his feet are tied
So he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings with a fearful trill
Of things unknown but longed for still
And his tune is heard on the distant hill for
The caged bird sings of freedom.

The free bird thinks of another breeze
And the trade winds soft through
The sighing trees
And the fat worms waiting on a dawn-bright
Lawn and he names the sky his own.

But a caged BIRD stands on the grave of dreams
His shadow shouts on a nightmare scream
His wings are clipped and his feet are tied
So he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings with
A fearful trill of things unknown
But longed for still and his
Tune is heard on the distant hill
For the caged bird sings of freedom.

Unbreakable

Little glass vase,
rests quietly on the table,
sitting there,
it hasn't been used in years,
but yet it remains,
a center piece,
for an old little table.
Glass will always break,
it is far too delicate,
it will hit the floor,
and shatter,
and someone else will have to pick up,
the tiny sparkling pieces.
But no worries,
no one lives in that house,
it has been empty for years,
it used to hold,
a little family,
that loved that little vase,
the daughter would put,
many wildflowers inside,
creating a beautiful array,
of color.
The mother would organize them,
and add flowers of her own,
sometimes her and her daughter,
worked together,
carefully placing,
each little flower,
in the perfect little vase,
the father watched on,
with a gentle smile,
caressing his face,
as his wife placed,
a flower,
on his daughter's,
small nose.
It was a time,
where everything was perfect,
nothing was wrong,
it was beautiful,
but now the house is empty,
and no one knows why,
the shutters are closed,
and  no light shines through,
and that vase is alone,
with no flowers to be put inside,
and it sits there,
collecting dust,
of wasted time.
And that little vase,
it will never break,
unless some unseen force,
shatters it.
And then,
the earth rumbled beneath,
and the vase fell,
off the old table,
crashing in the dark house,
on the hard floor,
it should have shattered,
but it stayed there,
in one piece,
unbreakable.

The sadness came about my eyes
A call I'd not expected
His pa now gone
This life his soul
Another place
To young to be departed

A suffer him for a while
Now peace to come
A different style
His man has climbed his mountain

For family grief
For hands to hold
For life to bless the living
The time to share the old and new
A rally is a calling

Stand shoulders wide my bro
The time has come
The man you grow
Be brave for all around you
Your father stands
He's there so proud
Puruṣārtha complete
A tribute to a close friend's father who passed away this week

Elusive trail to find amity
Disillusioned by refinement
By the artistry
They paint the false idol
Sustain life
They are incarcerated
Entities become suicidal
Just like a recital
We play one note
The audience becomes
Mesmerized
They’re hypnotized by a false legato
Seduced by the long and smoothed melody
Never to be awaken
Lullabies from a harlot alto
Close your eyes
The murals
They’re out of proportion
Like unwanted infants
Doomed to abortions
A time of lies
An age of deception
Awaken the mind to divine
Those who give you the path of ascension
The era of misconceptions
Come back to life from resurrection
We suffocate from abused tranquility
No hope of possibilities
Life suffers from unbalanced symmetry
  My broken heart
It’s hard to watch
Killing for pleasure
They raise war from down under
Life is lost from a hail of thunder
From the ashes
They pronounce, we are deities
Long live the king
He’s nothing more than a story
We are the glory
Endless violence
Speeches
Of power
Hope is no longer a matter
I give you 1 hour
Open your heart
Open your mind
Leave your bodies
Leave this declining
Reality
Before you’re consumed by wealth & power
Say goodbye
We are no longer…
