My mouth was drenched
in the foul odours
Of past lover's kisses.
And when I kissed her,
I tasted them with shame

'Don't worry'
You said.
It's only
you and me.
But there was
Only you.
And lonely
Me.

If tears could touch the sky
I would never have watered
my flowers with my eyes.
If they ever could,
I'd have enough pain
To water them forever
Through the clouds
And the rain.

Ashes to Ashes
Lust to dust
My past died
When I fell in love.

I caught a princess
From my castle above the sea.
She sat on my throne of swords
But drowned in the air I breathed.
So I took her back to the ocean,
To show the world
A queen to be,
Sitting on a throne of pearls,
Underneath the sea.

I am an unfinished poem
That I wrote with a pen
dipped in my emotions.
Some parts of me rhyme
Others,
I like to take my time
And write about the beautiful things
That don't always make sense.
Because to me, they seem so real.
But as a poem, it doesn't matter how I'm written.
Just as long as I can make you feel.

I saw you today
Through the window.
How your lips were bleeding
From the lies you were drinking
How you've lost control
over your soul, I reckon.
But then I blinked my eyes
And saw my own reflection
