I am the deep, the sky in reverse
I have what you seek, for better or worse

I am the blue of infinite depth
I've swallowed the crews and cleared the decks

I bathe my mind often using your memory as water.

phases

some of my
lights go out

and I become
dull and distant

give me time
they will come

back on

it is just a

I am going through

she cupped
his tears

in her hand
as they fell

let the puddle
separate into

individual
droplets

and watched
a pattern form

she traced it
as if it was

his lifeline
not knowing

that was what
he called her

I rise before you

early morning dew
crispy air

wrapped in a
sweater weather

porch swing
birds sing

I reveal my
daily secrets

in the tea leaves
and day dreams

and wait for you
to join me

like I have
every morning

since you left

she said her tears
were pearls

each one more
valuable than

the next she said

I would be
lucky to discover

just one she does
not shed them

for just anyone

she strung them
together and made

a necklace

I asked if I
could try it on

she said I was
not strong enough

to carry that
much weight

Inside you

is where I want to

be,

thrusting

within the folds

of your mind

penetrating

the sweet softness

of your soul,

throbbing

as I release my love
