Struggling under the weight
of a hundred lives

So things don't go too far.

That is the greatest gift

In a special way too.
But I'm not sure anyone

Poets are almost always sad
But that's because
We've been hurt
We've suffered
We've endured
But most of all we've persevered.

I'm bout to look for my rose
in the concrete....
Cuz this bush
has too many thorns....
