I once wrote a poem
Of a girl that I knew
But I no longer feel the same
So take this poem to be true

This girl that I know
Acts blonder than her hair
She likes to put on a show
And got caught shoplifting at Claire's

She surrounds herself with guys
And Miley Cyrus magazines
She has the prettiest eyes
And would die for a benzodiazepine

She hates her size, and her thighs
But she really just can't see
It's in vain that she tries
Because she is nothing but perfect to me

I've never felt better
Than with this girl that I know
She's cuter than an Irish Red and White Setter
Hannah, I love you
The original poem is the first poem I ever posted (about 20 poems back maybe?) so if you would like to see the difference in my poor and ****** feelings then go on and read it!
we're such destructive little things
we can't be trusted with beauty
we destroy ourselves to feel better
so why wouldn't we destroy each other?
if i crush your spirit or your bones,
just know
please just know
i meant to help you all along
we just can't ever figure out
how to be delicate
with the things we love
there's just too much
too much i'm willing to do
to feel for you
People are falling all over the place
Searching their minds for an intimate space
When did the timing lead up to this point
Short intermissions we wasted, disjoint
Scattered our logic to keep what remains
The incomprehensible parts of our brains
Calloused completely in every way
Wanting to speak but we've nothing to say
Where is the portal through which I can climb
Will it give me entry back into my mind
People are falling and now I am too
I went off the edge when I walked into *you
title taken from/inspired by Oceana's (now Polyenso) collaboration with The Undesigned
It’s is Friday
And it’s cold
And I’m tired,
But I am very happy

Yesterday I was dying
Miserable
Perturbed
Full of anxious sickness,
I wanted nothing more but to sleep
The entire day away,
Not stirring
No movement
Just laying dead in my bed
Dreaming of something other than reality

But when I woke up today
I was smiling
Glowing
Filled with happiness that I didn't know I had
It felt like me
The real me

I got to see you this morning
And I glowed
Pure joy and excitement coming off of me in waves
I don't know what it is
But you make me better,
You treat me like a best friend
And a princess
I love it and I love you
What you're looking for:

If you want the girl
that tells you just what you want to hear, but not what you need to
she's out there.
If you're looking for nothing more than soft words and quiet blessings,
you'll find it,
three blocks east.
If you like
the kind that agrees with you on
every
single
thing,
you should meet my friend right over there.

But over here,
is a girl with loud thoughts, and who speaks the truth
no matter how cold.
Inside this house,
stands a girl with ambitions brighter than that new shade of blonde you're into.
This girl,
will never treat you like the man you are,
or are not,
but rather, like the man you could be.
Royalty.
She will tell you everything you need to hear because
that
is
loyalty.
She will, that is
should you be man enough to hear it.

She will listen to what you have to say,
pretend to look the other way,
look back, smirk and in one breath proclaim
"Unless,"
and prove you wrong.
Not always though.

She will make you mad, no
furious!
Drive you crazy, make you wonder if she's serious
and through various tactics make you realize
she's actually quite hilarious.
sometimes.

This
is a girl that will drive you crazy
and make you love every minute of it.
should you be man enough.
Spoken Word Version:  http://youtu.be/spEV-W4sWoY
We hide from everyone
Wallow in loneliness and silence
But we are the only ones oblivious
Blind to our own exposure

Beauty cannot hide worry
We wear our lies like a brilliant mask
Incognito and apparent to everyone
The truth will come out in the end

Time will dig a deeper hole
And in the end it will be buried
But so with it my heart
Because time cannot heal love

Star-crossed lovers will meet again
Time cannot defeat fate
I will wait a thousand years
In the end we must remember that its never to late
The swivel, point, leap and cross of her feet on wooden floors.
Bending backwards to break the fluid boring motions.
Fingers clenching and opening to reenact a blossoming flower.
Toes circling around her frozen foot and
Shooting up high
To touch the sky.

Violins begin the piece with calming tones followed my soft piano keys.
As the trombones and trumpets trickle in
Her body leaps and lunges,
Bringing her to the ground with one leg pointed and raised to the ceiling.
Dance with me
And then you’ll see.

Reaching out her arms to touch the viewers in the front row.
Stretching her feet out to gain momentum for her ****** forward.
Her head almost sweeps the floor.
Flutes take charge and she swings her hips,
Only to create a **** whirlwind.
She collapsed and held she shin.

No one moved or made a sound. The hall fell silent.
She spread her body out on the paneled ground.
No sound left her lips.
She flipped over her left shoulder and landed in a split.
The crowd clapped vigorously, cheering.
Her mother was in the front row crying.

That girl I saw enchanted my dreams.
The rolling of her body and the extension of her legs filled my thoughts.
I wanted to be wrapped in her arms with mesh tool tangled between us.
I wanted to learn every motion she knew and replicate it.
Her eyes caught mine and she
Said, won’t you please dance with me?
you hollow me out while radiating throughout me, red.
you excavate and pave over my cracks.
I am a disease.
I take steps.
recede.
and wither.
