Those vulpine eyes

and crooked smile

could hold my thoughts steady.

The sky is missing a maiden,

and the sea is missing its robe,

but sheltered are you,

in the mists and tears of

a time when I was loved
Summer night, moon and her white cloud
frolic on the star spangled bed
You come to me, flames of passion lighting both eyes,
moon incarnate, why your lips uncontrollably tremble?

It's the stoke of a brush
The wisp of a pen
The sweep of a leg
The peloton in motion
The touch of a key

What is an artist?
One who seeks
Beauty and beyond
Who celebrates
The uncelebrated
Who breaths excitement
Into the ordinary
When I was young and bold and strong,
Oh, right was right, and wrong was wrong!
My plume on high, my flag unfurled,
I rode away to right the world.
"Come out, you dogs, and fight!" said I,
And wept there was but once to die.

But I am old; and good and bad
Are woven in a crazy plaid.
I sit and say, "The world is so;
And he is wise who lets it go.
A battle lost, a battle won--
The difference is small, my son."

Inertia rides and riddles me;
The which is called Philosophy.

the same way
and expecting a different
result
i didn’t believe this
‘til i found myself passing you by
everyday
waiting for you to
speak

a girl with black bags
underneath her eyes

hair that had
split ends on every
piece you looked at,

and she might have
gone a little awry,

but that wasn't what
her love looked at;

he looked at her mind
because it was so extraordinary;

*her mind was a galaxy,
waiting to be explored
