All the time I pray to Buddha
I keep on
killing mosquitoes.

K Balachandran
Lone duck, bitten by an insane urge, turns and turns,
endlessly on water plane, creates a churn, a pattern on water,
as if to meet itself in a moment of stillness in between,
when will it happen? His life passes as that illusion still lasts.

Brain in a bottle
I'm up with the particals
Floating around on beams

My body's down there
Chained between the screams

Forever fading distant
My fallen memory

Which now
faster than the speed of light
comes flooding back to me

Though current course is full of bliss
a yearning pulls me back

The hearts of all i'll love and miss
derail me from bliss track

So i re-enter
between the screams
to don my chains once more

To battle through
these cold dark dreams
for those who i adore
Deep in thought, thinking strong,
Focused,
On nothing.

Further in, try again, thoughts,
Whirl and swirl,
Still nothing.

Hours,
Minutes,
Years,
Seconds,
Spent in this the blank thought zone,
Journey to nothing.

Constant,
Aggravating,
Recurring,

                     Thinking of nothing,
                     Me and my empty

                             Thoughts.

Francie Lynch
I returned from three days of golf
At Lake Orion, with a philosophical man.
A PhD talked the ear off me,
And spoke so deeply on the meanings
Of life as we approached the green.
Across the fence in a sawgrass meadow
I saw a doe grazing in spite of us.
I don't remember much of his diatribe
But the ball and the doe stuck.

He continued on the fallacy of memory,
Asking me to name the cities of the Olympics:
Mexico, Rome, Beijing, Montreal,
I think I was able to name them all;
But the ****** pup swimming
Beneath the walkway
Dragging a branch underwater
Cleared the air,
Like a thump on my chest,
Took my breath away,
And stopped my ear.
It's more than a game.

to be in a hurry,  won't do,
deadlines,
are always there?
Time, is reflective, always
was will be scarce, why rush it?

Slow those hands, push them down to
half past when,
halfway to then.

Seconds,  take reflecting
meditating,  remembering,
hear concentrate on the sounds
of birds,
walk outside now, this very  instant,
briefly feel   awareness-
actually hear-
those birds chirp,  a background
chorus to a most important symphony.

Let the time tick-tock as the rhythm
is the backbeat,
feel that last brief wisp that color
that smile that feeling, let it sink in
mean something more than what needs done.

Don't hurry it. It comes.
