A  group  of  maples
stand  proudly  in  the  village.

A  vivid  deep  scarlet  in  color
truly  magnificent  trees.

Very  pleasing  to  the  eye.
You  have  to  catch  the  moment  though
Sadly  the  beauty  soon  fades.

As  seen  in  October.

We will all be forgotten, of this there is no doubt, though we live as if a world without us could not exist.  We grossly over-exaggerate our importance, arrogantly and drastically overestimating our relevance to the orbit of all the planets and galaxies, and living beings surrounding us.

How many years will your memory remain
in the minds of men and women?

Put your self in perspective.  Reflect on how forgettable you are.

Stars and tears all disappear

The autumn air is cool
Weather forecasts unable to fool
The people know global warming
Has given everyone a warning

The nights are getting darker
The moon the main marker
Shining bright at night
Providing distant light

We have had a lot of sunshine
Winter  creeping in with time
Hoping for winter without flood
The leaves are turning brown in the wood

You shielded me
From your pain
Your tears all fell
Quietly like rain
Under your waterfall
I couldn't hear
You cry
You let them
Fall like rain
I never heard
Your silent cry
Again
I had to go
I don't expect
You'll ever know why
I had to go
I couldn't stay
Another day
I had to go away
