Letters jumping off the page
Not like normal words that stay in place
I close my eyes and hold the tears
And just pretend that I'm not here

Stupid is the word they used
Cause the letters I see wouldn't fuse
They laughed cause they didn't know the pain
Of seeing words and not knowing their name

Writing down things that never looked right
Seeing failure in near sight
I stopped to even try
Not seeing how dyslexia could give me pride

Confusion growing in my head like vines
So I just sit and act like a mime
Tears starting to to brim my eyes
I shut down and begin to cry

How can dyslexia give me pride?

I sit here reading stories in the flickering dancing flames
Stories of fairies,  dragons,  magic and days of old
But also stories of happiness,  sadness, of long lost loves
In the flames I see my long lost love, the dreams that I once had
I want to write the words but I know not where to start
The flickering flames tell me we couldn't live together but we just cant live apart
The thoughts of what I had, I need is just another crack in my heart
In the flames I see the truth of what you meant to me
But I saw my dreams go up in smoke,  it was never meant to be
Seasons have weathered
left footprints passing age
yet something is spared
to draw her in my gaze!

It's not as pink as first crush
nor red as primal yore
but white residue of dried brush
that makes me want not more!

I wonder if she knows it
when hold her in my gaze
not slowed a bit this heartbeat
my eyes don't see her age!

She wonders if I know it
when steals on me her look
the pages left are still sweet
love stays an unclosed book!
I love you
not because
you're good looking

I love you
not because
you're caring

I love you
not because
you dote on me

I love you
not because
your smiles are sweet

I love you
not in lust
of your crevice
or orifice
or skin

I love you
because
without you
I feel

incomplete within.

Pushing Daisies
I like to watch them,
as they fold gently,
Into newly found realms,
Of softened happiness.
Scents of lavender,
and milkweed,
Blaming their aches,
Until they fade away.

I am selfish enough,
To seek comfort in them,
I am selfish enough,
To pretend I am part of them.

Part of this ever growing bubble,
That is verging on delirium.

But I am not,
I know I am not.
This I hope,
Will be unnoticed.

It's easy to mimic,
Or fake your behaviour,
If the outline of what,
You hope to achieve,
is merely,
A heartbeat away from you,

It's easy to colour,
between the lines,
Even if my pencil,
is shaded melancholy blue.

All I do is think about you
What the hell is wrong with me?
I just can’t seem to help myself
I try, I really do try
You won’t leave, even though you did

Am I the fool I think I am, I must be?
You don’t want me, you told me that
enough times…enough times
that it should have sunk in by now
It hasn’t, well it has but I don’t care

I stand before a mirror
and tell myself,
“Forget her, she has forgotten you”
My reflection ignores me, mocks me
I can’t hear myself, I don’t want to hear myself

It does no good to close my eyes,
opened or closed I see you
Hiding beneath a blanket,
a pillow over my head,
I still see you

You are every where, every sunrise,
every hummingbird outside my window,
every raindrop dancing on the sidewalk,
every poem I read through tear stained eyes,
everything that is me, or was me

My heart won’t listen to me anymore,
I won’t listen to me anymore
I can’t…I can’t because,
all I do is think about you

Do memories remain after you’re dead?

If I died tomorrow,
would you know,
would you care?

God is light,love,and care
Fills this world with joy and repair
Ask upon his name and you shall receive
The miracles he gives if you just believe
Many love to blame him for their misery and despair
But who are they serving the man of darkness beware
God is not evil and does no such act
If evil abides you need to backtrack
Life has many ups and downs
Some learn to smile and some just frown
There's two paths you can choose during you're life
One full of darkness and the other so bright
Some choose the light from the beginning
Others get tangled and lost in their grieving
We all have trials that we must face
Testimonies to share once we've unlocked the briefcase
To live for Christ takes time and learning.
When you hold a newborn,do you not hold it delicately? Do you not feed him milk from a bottle until he grows and learns to eat more solid food? Do you not scold the child when he disobeys? Are you not proud of him when he does something good? Are you not worried once he is old enough to live on his own? Are you not there for him when he is in need or trouble? Is you're heart not broken when his is broken? Same as our Father in heaven. We start out into this world learning his word just like a newborn. You cannot feed a newborn a steak. Same as with Christ. We all come to Christ at different ages, but when we do we all start out as newborns. Through time we grow with his word. Not everything bad in you're life is because of God or because he likes to see you suffer. There is a dark force out there who's main purpose is to steal **** and destroy. God may allow Satan to test you to see how faithful you will remain to him,and at the end of that trial he rewards all of us. He also leaves us with such a powerful testimony that we can share to save lives. Love y'all hope this touches some of you
You’re a poet flying on wing
Your world a great heart only rules
You’re no fighter in a boxing ring
You’re no charger like bulls.

I|

I am a man. I was put on
Earth to bleed from my hands.
Work is my virtue. I only sleep well
If I'm exhausted.
Your food and shelter is my gain.
My sweat is the salt on our table.

II|

I *am
a man, but also child
with a paper-mache heart and
sandcastle dreams, a child wishing
for later tides while we play
splashing in and out of the waves
but the tide always comes,
and castles crumble, and we
we tell ourselves that there's no need for fear
because we will build stronger walls
tomorrow

III|

Today is our day though
Let us work at love.
Let us play with love.
Let us dance until our feet
Blister and we collapse
Laughing into each other's arms in equal fatigue.
All I want is you.
All I have is you.
All I've never lost is love.
It is our costliest toy;
Unbroken

IV|

Unbroken it may be for now
yet the time will come, as with all good things
where life and love will come to its bitter end
our lives will have ran their course
and in that moment, we will know and be known
we will laugh our last laugh
we will drink and be merry
knowing we loved and were loved
and as the water comes washing in
we still stand behind walls of sand
and we will face the tide together

*unafraid
I wrote the stanza for Work, DA wrote Play, I wrote Love, and DA wrote Die.  Enjoy.

Not knowing…
Walls prove unending
Collections collect dust
Socks match and no one cares
Mirrors reflect pain
Clogged drains overflow sorrow

Not knowing…
Nature breathes dreary pictures
Bent branches sway in branded winds
Pathways end without rhyme or reason
Silhouettes run from their own shadows
Ripples disappear on darkened coastlines

Not knowing…
Puzzle pieces don’t fit
Questions have no answers
Music loses all means of melody
Days are merely days
Poetry is pointless

Not knowing…

Mother
My mother took me into her loving home
Gave me an amazing family to call my own
She held my hand through scary times
Showed me love and sang me rhymes
Tucked me tight through the night
She said don't let the bed bugs bite
Years flew by and now I'm grown
I also created a family of my own
Learned values from her that stayed with me
Now teach my own to follow thee
My Mom is great and hope they see
Just how special you are to me
If you need me I am here
As you were for all those years
I'll hold you're hand and hold you close
Then listen to you when you need the most
Remember my love runs deep for you
Let me show my caring gratitude
