Air

Can't see but exists,
Faith is always there, have hope,
Then you'll find answers.
This is my first attempt in Haiku, I wanted to venture out of free verse.

Earth

A good foundation,
Is where morals are grounded,
Deep roots stand taller.
It was a bit more difficult following the schematics of keeping it 5,7,5

Water

Hidden ambition,
Like ever-flowing water,
Will flood or channel.
Too much of ambition leads to greed, just enough creates motivation.

Nature

Natural elements,
Are god's lessons to explore,
Seek and you will find.
I decide to name this set of Haikus "Pangea's Notion" because I could not think of any bigger recollection than the super continental itself, and it captures it perfectly with notion; which is a good way alternative to express it as a philosophy without using the word philosophy. It's uniquely different so that's my thought.

Tien - Tim
Bottled up emotions,
Accumulating,
Ready to pour out.
You're heavily on my mind.
Yet these clouded thoughts,
Makes me wonder,
Should I dive into this never-ending cycle?
Forecasting what it might weather,
Would it be a lasting dance in the rain?
Or would I be flooded with shallow scars?
You never know what each day may bring,
But hope that there will be light of a better day as we pass these storms.

We were young,
sitting on a couch,
playing legos and super powers,
faces with chocolates,
yes, those smiles melted my heart,
and I have no idea
I would love you since then.

We were lying on the rooftop,
watching the glimmers of the stars,
how they passed by
and fell from the skies,
I looked at you
while you were talking,
yes, those smiles melted my heart,
and you don't know
that just like those stars
in the moonlit night,
I have already fallen for you.

We were lost in the middle
like bottles in the ocean,
I sought you in every corner
of the streets
and found you crying
in your room,
you hid your face with pillow
and I was standing there crying too.

You never noticed me,
he broke your heart
for a thousand times,
and I was just your crying shoulder ---
just a crying shoulder.

After years of pretending,
I decided to tell you the truth.
I can't smile
without you in my life,
for I was drawn to loving you
with no love at all in return.

Yet you told me
you have loved me
even from the beginning
of our love story,
when we were young,
sitting on a couch,
playing legos and super powers,
faces with chocolates,
yes, my smiles melted your heart,
and you have no idea
you would love me too.

You caught me
looking on your eyes
while you were talking
about the future,
and like those stars
you have already fallen for me too.
And you only hid your face
that day,
for you couldn't take me
crying out of your pain.

We were supposed to be forever,
we were supposed
to surpass eternity,
but I was just mistaken
by my bewildered fantasies ---
I failed you dear.

I have been fighting this sickness
and I have never given up,
it's just that ---
I love you
and I hate myself
when I see your tears
falling on your sleeve.

I wrote this poem
for you to remember me ---
the memories we shared,
and when you read this
maybe that time I'm already gone.
I love you until my last breath,
I'm sorry but I have to leave ---
I'm sorry.

You've asked me how can I see a future when love, in all
Its numinous beauty, is waning?
I reply, the immortal stars still shine above the veil of clouds.
You say, why are the salmon swimming to their pools of origin
Only to die as they spawn?  Only to die?
I tell you their love is unconditional, like mine.
You ask me did the giant sequoia know it was shelter for the burning grasses
When they walked from the seas?  I reply yes they knew.
You question me about the lofty snow cranes that fly over the Himalayas
And I reply by describing
How the priestly flocks, chanting on their mission, honk—
Announcing the mantle steps to the heavens.
You inquire about the elephantine manatees gracing the shallow banks
And wonder if the sea mermaids remember their lives beyond the latitudes
Of capricorn and cancer?
Or you’ve discovered in the wind a new reasoning as to why
The talons of the paired eagles lock in midair as they court?
You want to understand the nimbus garden, ocean slate, of lake Titicaca
Where resides the Andean sea horse gliding above the clouds?
The whales that circle dance in unison collecting krill?
The noetic display of the birds of paradise, the songs of nameless creatures
Playing in the wilderness like a forgotten melody only lovers lips remember?

I want to tell you that true love knows this, that life in its
Prismatic shimmer is all the myriad colours of infinite existence wrapped
In time to the sublime structure of white and bones.  I must tell you
That the flower is mighty in its opening, the humming bird is a sorcerer
Who needles ambrosia with vortex wings weaving his way to the Gods.

But I am nothing beside your disbelief which has arrived, before
I can even imagine the sweet awakening, like doom, my shell is the iridescent
Hollow of the one eyed Abalone, discarded in the deep fathoms
Of the ocean pressures.

I swim the tides as you do, investigating
The endless tendril seas,
And in my chest, during the night, I woke up empty,
The only thing treasured, a golden face
Trapped inside my dreams.

I said I'd stop and I'd stay clean

But we all know that talk is cheap

I wanted to turn away from this mess

Wanted to recover from the nights I didn't sleep.

It was easy to quit under the glare of morning light,

But I can't shake the urge to give it a little kiss

goodbye.

And it's a stabbing pain, to take the truth,

That my downfall is in the moments when my fingers touch the sky.

I'll try to fix myself once more

Try to push away and kick it all.

To see that what goes up must surely come down

And that getting high will eventually lead me to a fall.

My personal call sign, Helios
In my eyes poet Pradip seem to be the sun of the poets,
Always filled with bright energy.
Very mystical in this poet's ink of ray.
If you want a poem that will brighten your day,
I recommend Pradip's poems!
Please don't take it too personally to my call signs, just wanted to add dimension to my writings with individual characters, and by adding a layers to convey the best description with gods and goddesses metaphor.  Some were really hard to distinguish with the characters, and some were already taken by others.   With limited 12 gods, it wasn't perfect, while some were dead on!

This is to recognize some of the best poets I have met and read, and while everyone is good in their own rights, these few people really stood out for me as the pantheons of Hello Poetry.

This may change after 2014 review in 2015, and make a completely different list when the time comes.  Who knows, I might just stop after this one!

This isn't completely finished, but for now this will do.  If I want to add more stuff I maybe inclined to do so, but with limited times as of late due to work we shall see where my attention spanned will take me.

Spring Melts The Snow
As Winter Comes Then Quickly Goes
Little Breezes Stir The Leaves Of Green
And New Little Flower Buds Are Seen.
Spring Is For The Newness Of Life
And To Me It Will Bring Healing And Melt The Strife
Sun Shines In The Warm Air
And Birds Chirp Happily Without A Care.

Summer Comes Bringing The Hottest Of Weather
It Shall Always Be The Hottest Season Forever
She Is Happy And Joyful As She Brings Sunshine
Yet She Can Vanish Quickly By The Cruel Hand Of Time.
She Brings The Butterflies Dancing In The Sky
She Brings Warm Wind That Sweetly Sighs
She Brings The Unfurling Flowers
And Days Full Of Longer Hours.

Autumn Comes More Bitter And Cold
At Least That Is What I Am Told
She Brings The Leaves Twirling In The Wind
And The Smoke That Fireplaces Up The Chimney Did Send.
She Brings With Her A Cold Stinging Air
And Jack Frosts Cold Ground She Walks Upon Without Care
The Colorful Leaves She Paints With A Song
The Days She Makes Shorter Rather Than Long.

Winter Is The Coldest Of Them All
Yet She Loves To Hold Hands With Fall
Winter Sends The Snowflakes That Stick To My Hair
And Melt Instantly As If They Were Never There.
Winter Sends The Most Bitter Howling Breezes
Which Blow The Last Leaves On The Trees
She Puts The Flowers And Animals Sleep
'Til The Day When Spring Comes And Winter Sleeps.

As Dusk Slowly Grasped The Day In Cold Hands,
Blue Birds Snuggled Into Their Nests Of Soft Hay,
Clouds Rolled In--Tucking In The Frosted Lands,
Ducking Into Sleep Fragile Flowers Waited To Play,
Eager For The Day Robins Closed Their Tired Eyes,
Ferns Sway In A Befuddled Wind--It's Mind Whirling,
Gregarious Crickets Shake Away Their Frosty Ties,
Homesick Linnets Wings Spread--Elegantly Swirling,
Illuminating The Night Sat The Paled Lonely Moon,
Jubilant It Is Though, Upon It's View From The Sky,
Kissable Caterpillars Lounge In Their Cocoons,
Lost In Sleep They Dream Of The Clouds So High,
Mother's Of The Nocturnal World Lead Their Young,
Northward To Play In Wheat Filled Prairies,
Organic Love Loomed Where The Branches Hung,
Promenading Inside A Wind Smelling Like Berries,
Quietly The First Few Drops Of Rain Fell,
Ricocheting Off Of Budding Leaves,
Sweet Mother Earth Caught Everything In Her Spell,
Tonight A Sacred Lullaby Is Whispered By The Trees As,
Untamed Ligtning Struck The Frozen Ground,
Vibrating The Sky Thunder Crashed,
Water Swam Through The Air Creating No Sound,
Xenon and Nitrogen Screamed While They Clashed,
Yet No Gentle Creature Was Awakened--Grasping

Above, this morning, on another plain
Over bogland and tundra rising snows drift
Darting birds white, unlike you, they strain
Fleeing on wing to save some earthen kin.
Blood runs as they race, your shadows cast,
Their hearts beating to some distant dawn.
Under the pale sun, white burns on their backs,
Daylight sings, their ears are horned, little faun
White as snow, the prince of the sky is blessed
On high by drops of rain, and dusted freeze,
Then blood and breast sacrament and eucharist,
Their tale ends in glory, risen as a breeze.
