There's a noose around your neck,
where you've hung your expectations
Too high.

But he is imprinted,
upon my heart stings,
and they sound,
the most beautiful melody.
                                             A sad song,
I would never wish to forget.

yes, i have not removed an inch of makeup, these
past three days.
i can still taste beers and united kingdom’s colloquialisms
on my burdened
tongue.
and i have holes in stockings and black-and-blues
brushing my collarbone.
weekends, two and a half days, winding among unbolted
doors that lead to what you want but can’t admit
sober.
yes, i still feel every inch when i saunter through flaxen
leaves. how did i never notice such colors
before?
let the world be your oyster, except i’m vegetarian. so let it be my
sea. ocean. every drop that i never tasted.
fingers taste much better when they’re being
shoved beneath your front teeth.
five in the morning is the perfect time for screaming at lies
you cannot see through. for falling onto beds that cannot hold
more than one person but you trytrytry anyway.
yes, i do not know where i am going anymore,
but this tingling in my toes must mean
something.

its so much easier for us to sit here and pretend that we dont need one another
or that the waves dont crash against the shore
or that the moon doesnt rise at night
isnt it?
but
the waves do crash against the shore
and the moon does rise at night
and its inevitable that we need each other
like the shore needs the touch of the waves
and how the empty sky needs the light of the moon

Sometimes I mistake you for euphoria,
for as you drip pigment into the colors
of my irises, they can no longer focus
for shaking iridescent mirth.

It’s describably indescribable
Perfectly flawed and
At best bittersweet
All this cause its subject
To human nature an amorphous multi-faceted
Enigma.
Traverse the face of the earth
over every hill, valley seldom
if never will you find an all-rounded individual
this then does confirm that
imperfection is indeed the ultimate
perfection
all other factors constant.

I think and
I imagine and
I pick apart and
I wonder.

I speak and
I stop.
I say
never mind,
I don't know.
