Distress
clinton opah May 2017
I am,
Forsaken,
As a lost memory,
As death before birth.

I am,
A lost battle,
An end beckoned,
An adversary of light.

As The moon still shines
when the sun pretend to die
In the azure sky where blossoms have been strewn.
On me it shines not

with every gulp of courage, I ready my will.
A ticket to hell, my heart beat still.
The voice of the clock tells me its time to go.
A stumble into darkness, you may never know.

My flesh saw it's tearing apart.
There's no other life, sweetheart.
Screams and shouts I chanted
As the only joy I knew was enjoyed by the wicked.

Fair
clinton opah Feb 2017
All is just
       In life;
  In war, in love
In dying, in living.
Life is fair!
Even at night,
She's compensated by the moon

clinton opah Dec 2016
Save Aleppo oh Lord, send down the rain

relief her soldiers, from this steady pain

save Aleppo oh Lord, let Peace prevail

solace her children, our mothers pray.

deaths smile

"one more stick"
His sorrows petitioned .

As the cigarette kept the streak
Death smiled gladly.

Elegy of a mudered soul
clinton opah Aug 2016
I rancor the hate in me,
We lived with him,
And act like it's wiry,
Son of hate,
Why sway my mate,
You've scavenged thy thought,
And left me with empty faith,
You murdered him,
In hot blood,
You murdered him,
The sun witnessed it all,
From the death on earth,
To the breath in hell,
Welcome to the depth of hell
Where pain is a prison, let me out of this well,
Where great fell
And end never seems near,
Where hopes and dreams are swallowed
And devoured by the wicked
Till their empty satisfaction is replete
Let me out of these bars
Will I cry
Till the day deaths funeral purviews
