A Late Apology
bachir Apr 2020
I sit, lonesome in the shade
Perhaps with people I should have stayed
Looking for a love I will never find
Perhaps to it I am simply blind
A noose around my neck I tie
I look at myself and I cry
Yet, my tears are dry
My body is now still
Oh no! I forgot to write my will.
Dad, don’t be sad
Mom, don’t be mad
I’m onto a new adventure
One that might give me some pleasure
Maybe once again we shall meet
So I saved both of you a seat
Sorry I was so weak
But life was looking so bleak
I wish I could go on
But my future is now gone
I lost all my hope
So here I am, at the end of my rope
Should you need to blame anyone
Then I am the one
Please forgive me
Don’t you see
How much I hurt you?
Because I do
I know you want me to stay
But I have to go far and away
I am sorry.
