Her golden fingers
weave across my
cotton candy hair.

With my eyes closed
I let her kiss my face.
"Drink me in," she says
"for I am fleeting."

I laze as long as I dare
listening to the rituals,
The wave of notes and
flutter of wings around me.

I am the decay. I am the human.
Yet, Spring and her sprites
rejoice.
Is there nothing better than warm sun on your skin in the spring?

Brides of whitest, delicate lace,
Gowns immaculate, as snow their face
Softest pink, a blush to embrace,
Rose, as rising sun to race

Sheets of white, 'candescent as moonlight,
Waves of coral, leaves and floral,
Rows of candle, as calcic stalagmite,
Mauves 'n violet as wild wood sorrel.

So yon maidens of sweetest spring
Herald the Queen Summer's oncoming
Her nectarous drupe and fruit offspring
The bountiful boon she will bring.

Behold the language of your Beloved
Speaks in tongues of secrets vivid
Of kindness, giving, eternally sipid
Of warmth and fire, of ardour vivid

So when next you spy the verdant maidens
Bedecked finery, blossoms laden,
Whispering, bowing, to one cadence,
Know you see the One true Haven.

They sang beneath the gardens
basked in Babylon’s balming glow
Laughed in the light of Carthage
before the salt was sowed
Take some small comfort
from antiquity’s thread spun
For just before the sunset
they danced in Byzantium
the sunset
was like melted rubies
bathed by a topaz spring --
above it all
two amorphous pearl clouds drifted
rimmed with molten gold
while the lake
below
was a mirrored goddess
with moonlight in her lazuline eyes
and stars in her indigo hair

Dead rose stems,
papercuts from love letters,
and discarded gold

Grayscale summer memories,
the chill of a touch once warm,
and waterlogged eyelashes.

Yelling, screaming, LONGING--
voices with the chalky grit of sandpaper,
spitting leaden insults.

This is the end of love.
Title inspired by a Florence and the Machine song of the same name.
meet me half way !

   Between rivers that flow-within-
Reach me for I am rinsed with love -
My soul floats with oasis .
   I am bend with devotion.
   Float along',
Let me drown you with passion,
I am the rift of calm.
   Wash within! feel my essence,
    Drink within feel, my sooth
    I am calved with sweetness
In never ending creek of  joy
