Bodies smashing
lights flashing
skulls crashing against ***** sinks
and kids are snorting another line because what else is there to do but die.
I'm in a tight black dress,
one I starved myself into,
one I grind in
with empty dreams of ballet shoes
and you are not here anymore, because only fools have *** with an empty shell of a girl,
and we both know that you have never been a fool.
I stare at the red glow of the ceiling and watch my red flow down the drain
while I blink
to see your smile
to see a million smiles
I blink to remember that I smiled once, too.
I haven't lived this, but I could.
When the bottles empty
The trains fly past thee
Homeless on the corner
Eyes are so lonely
Suns going down
Wind brings the fields alive
Trespass on the earths plains
Constant water flowing like veins
Stretching out like the roots from the trees
Capturing the living
Words spoken so softly
The bottles still empty
Fall passes and winter rolls
Coming down like meteors
The fields are smoking
Burning cigarette ashes blowing
Rising and falling
Slow melodic refrains
Seeping under the bed frame
Red eyes are closing
The sandman is crouched on the night stand
Can you feel the rain?
Warm hands around a temple
Sharing the night
Looking through the window
Now knowing which side is which
Incredible, the mind body and soul
Floating in and out of foggy weather
Ghosts treading through the leaves

Jenna Lou
The angst ripped through her body, devouring her thundered tension.
Controlling her thoughtless mind; whispering spells of mystique affection.

The sounds were magnified by the wooden floorboards;
As if the beats demanded a heated encore-
of momentous-spirit and sickening limits.

The noise became deafening,
as if it were necessary.

Waiting for the perfect time;
To shut her down …
and watch her cry.
He fell in my arms.
Not in love, but fast asleep.
I fell the former.
Electricity
runs through my body
every time you touch me.
Result of having a test on electricity tomorrow... and some craving too.

Redshift
you forgot about me
so quickly
i'm starting to think
i was never there
at all
i've got all these
grungy little
rubber marks
on my
chest
tire tracks
on my legs
you were never there
at
all

Round, the kumquats grow
Sharp-leaved,  they green the sky
The gate opens wide
I had never had a kumquat until I went traveling around Croatia and this forager-type guy picked them off the tree for me.  They were great.

It was when I met you
That I understood love songs
And
why people dance with each other

I understood kissing
And
why it is the most beautiful thing

I understood why brokenhearted people cry
And why they stay away from everyone
when they heart shatters
because they need their space
to fill it
with the voice of their lover who left,
and the memories
to bring the pieces of their heart together
and to break them again.

It was when I met you
That I understood what life is all about
and
why people stay late out night thinking about that someone.
