Half-waking, half-sleeping, half tomorrow;
Apollo’s beams dance on half a face,
I mourn the morning, as only borrowed,
The day shines but partially on our embrace.

Ignoring that honest solar trail,
From time and space I remove my heart;
Too inconstant and too apt to fail,
Too rapturous upon each bright new start.

Yet I know, of course, that the sun will rise,
And with each new dawn our parting advances,
Never again to see the sun in your eyes,
I hope to remember fleeting glances.

Ephemeral spheres of moments together
Burst like stars and then are gone forever.

Another mouthful,

I wonder how many calories would that be?

How long do I have to run to burn off this meal?

When will I look like I want to?

How long do I have to keep this up?

(in the silence
he is doing the
worst of things)

(I'm afraid that
one day he will
say, I'm so sorry
so sorry, I did
what I said I
would not)

(but my fear is
unwarranted,
that would mean
that I wanted to
believe--that I
trusted in what
I should not)

so in the end
it's still my

fault.

Lock yourself away
For another day
When you're all alone
In a crowd of strangers

Just you*
In a city unknown
With strange faces,
Strange expressions,
Strange thoughts

Save yourself for another day
When you can just let it be
No fear of being recognised
Rules over you
And your life

So you can stay
Silent, standing
Or even sitting
On *****, dismal streets

People will have the same reaction
As the place you were in before
But they won't know you

So keep yourself away
For a day
When you can be
Comments?
My back touched the fabric
of the couch
as I slouched and tilted my head.

I let my elbow fell on the armchair
as my thumb flew between my lips
and my teeth perched on its flesh.

My forefinger
ran back and forth, restlessly,
on my nose bridge

as I inhaled the details
of your head thrown backward,
your hair suspended in midair.

some strands draping down your chest,
your mouth half open,
your secret self and your entire being

all seducing my peripheral vision.
