porcelain doll
It was going so well
A wonderful spell
Until I gave you that rose perfume
You never wore it
And I threw a fit
And decided to cut off your head
But oh how I dread
I decided instead
To break up with you on a Monday.

You gave us this world with opportunity and every ability to build paradise,
Yet we blame You for all tragedy , evil, pain, and unnecessary suffering;
You are the culprit, we charge, and dare imagine you with heart as cold as ice,
With never a glance in the mirror to reflect upon our failures with any misgiving.

So we shake our fist, trample Your words of wisdom and the help You offer,
Content to live as our own gods in the self-made illusion of human grandeur,
While our world careens toward disaster, as in foolish rebellion we take cover;
Your tears falling in the rain for Your children and creation in immortal danger.

How is it the fool says in his heart, “Surely, there is no God, no higher power,”
When with lost divine likeness and shattered image, truer it is there is no human?
More like empty shells with vacant eyes, we walk this earth enslaved by the hour,
Ever too proud to turn to You in the light of Your Love, redemption to summon.

They like the curve of my hips,
But not the melody of my voice
God why doesn't she ever shut up.

Love the glow of my face
But not the aura of my mind
She's so **** intimidating.

They like the lines of my lips,
But not my sharpness of tongue.
Does she think she's being funny?

Love the scent of my perfume
But not the courage behind honesty.
One of these days.
One of these **** days.
She's bound to shut up.

They like the curves
They love the lines
Admire every inch of my body.
But they never, ever
Pay attention to my eyes.

"Forgive me o' father for I'm about to  sin"
Said the shadow with a grin
Just outside the gates of the holy
Standing with all the black he could bring

Infinite night stretching across the sky
Immersing one and all forever in its shade
One shade too dark , the shadow
Laughing and howling outside his holy gates

"Where at the light o' father
Look what has night done to me
Turned me into a ghost
Upon your throne you couldn't see"

"Your kingdom is in ruins
Yet you want us to have faith "
As he ignites the torch with his blood
"Now there's nothing but hate "

Nightly creatures are summoned for the ceremony
From the remotest and the darkest towns
Where who ever dared to wander ,
Was never found

"You made this army of monsters
For you're the one who creates
Turned us all into a night-mare
And expected us to be saints "

"We might not be saints
But we do preach love ,
Love for you o' father
We have nothing but love"

"We'll love you with our blades
Sharpness will define its reasons
We'll paint you with hate
Hang you for your treason "

"For you left us when we needed you
Who said you couldn't sin
Forgot us , when we prayed to you
Who says we can't sin "

With an evil smile he lets go of the torch
'burn with all my darkness'
Taste the flames of my pain
While you beg for forgive-ness

You are the reason for your demise
We are nothing but a vessel
We gave it our all , we did fight
But you never heard our message

"where were you gone o' father"
Too engrossed in your own praise
As the world burned and suffered
You only cared about the ones who prayed

Rewarded the beautiful daughter with a **** ,
Faithful wife with nothing but hate
But your son understands you,
For He'll love you with with a blade

"Without you o' my dearest father
We might have a chance at paradise"
Said the shadow in a whisper
With nothing but rage in his eyes

"we'll break those gates down o' father,
utopia for all"
Screamed the shadow once again
Just as angels begin to fall

"welcome o' brother and sisters,
isn't it a beautiful day ?"
Smiled the shadow on the dying breed
"sad , you couldn't stay"

"o' father bless my kin with all your love
For they need it for what's about to come
No longer will they rule the skies
Ignoring all , serving but a few chosen ones "

"you were never our father ,
We were nothing but slaves
Now look around you o' father
There's no one who you can save"

As the fire raged on ,
He could see the world awake to its chaos
"o' father you can hear me now "
Said the shadow somewhat lost

"o' father i will miss you , i wont deny
you made me feel less alone
And I'll let these gates stand once you're gone
To remind the world of your existence and your sacrifice
But your rule is over now and you have to die "

With that there was darkness no more
As the fire brought day to the world
'we are free , we are free' they cheered
And a new season began to unfurl

His Rage has consumed both of them,
'god is dead , god is dead' whispered every meadow
Gates were still standing tall and
On the burnt throne were the ashes of his shadow

Bruised Orange
On this night,
my heart forgot to stop loving you.

With star dusted verse and milky way melody,
I sang to you a jasmine scented lullaby.
Through crescent waves of moonbeam,
I breathed my lavender love into your dream.

In the morning when you wake, will you feel me there,
as sunlight, streaming through your sleep damp hair?

Mine is the heart that forgot to stop loving you.
Yours, the heart that could not remember to begin.

I'm sorry to you
I would have been the captain of your heart
I would have walked moon-shone nights to see the top of your head doused with stars
But love is like delicate strings, managing to hold together the heart's parcel
In transit, through all the imaginings and well meant confessions
On a road never realised
On a thought that barely should have been whispered
I loved you, and my love wasn't fearful
But,
hallelujah I met you
And to my almost-lover, I forget you

You ask me, “What is the point of all of this?”

And I lean in close, stare into your messy eyes, and tell you, “Darling, there has never been a point and there never will be. You can spend your precious time searching, and mapping out the rules and trades, and protesting the rights you will never obtain, and devoting your actions to their counteractions, but at the end of the day nothing will have changed. You see, I believe everything is better in dimmer light. Lower the shades, flick the switch, fall asleep to the humming of your computer in your pitch-black bedroom. Live in the shadows of the people; watch from the outside; since when has darkness become something to be feared? Breathe in the negative space; exhale the wind you’ve been storing in your chest since the day you set foot on these rocky grounds. Stop believing in the ‘point’ and start believing in the ‘less’. Regardless of where in the world you go, the distance you choose to stretch, there will always be the same things in different ***** environments. And by this, I mean, there will always be a blushing teenage girl in the whims of her own disasters. There will always be the lost people, the found people, the people right there in the in-between bits of the cracks your feet always seem to step on. There will always be the luck lost on the boy without a father, on the artist with crippling hands, on the old woman dying half awake. You will find this time after time, winter after winter. You can try your best to plaster on that dazzling smile, but who said that they needed to see it to love you? You can try to stop those precious hands of yours from shaking, but who said a little thunder isn’t exactly what they need? You can try to find a point to these lives we lead, love, but who said there was one to be found?”
