The Night I Can't Forget
Ashley Feb 2019
I wrote it in a journal
And then I shut it tight
A ribbon bound secret
I hoped would come to life
He wasn't picture perfect
But he always made me laugh
He held me through my darkness
And helped me to forget
His eyes were like the forest
And his hair like chocolate cream
We had a passion never-ending
In a ride much like a dream
But never did I imagine
That I would fall to misery
And that the love I always dreamt of
Would drown because of me
