If I had a dollar for every poem I wrote....

I'd have like a billion dollars

Because I would just write a program
that spits out random words and phrases

Then someone would tell me that they're
only going to pay me 50 cents per poem
if I'm going to be like that.

I'd be like "Whatever, dude...that's still half a billion dollars"

Can't be greedy, you know.

Then they'd try to pass some sort of law defining what a poem
can and can't be, spending millions of tax-payer dollars to stop
me from writing poems like this:

SHITAKE DUCK FOOTBALL
magnifying glass eats adolph ******
can I be valentine bubblewrap
I think so maybe
I peanut butter 1975 Yankees
Did you ****?
Robocop.

The judge would rule in my favor.  That would really ****
off the poor saps that had to pay me for my poems.

Doesn't really matter though....

No one pays me for this ****.

I have memorized the silence in your eyes,
which hides a world beyond the film of blue,
a world of words unspoken, hid’n in lieu
of letting me into your mind. Were these lies
You spoke to me to cleanse my brain, appease
these gnawing thoughts like beetles making home
in tender tissue, insecure in roam-
ing, ever-changing emotions like these?
But why be anxious over your desire?
Such careless, ambling adoration my
still heart protests. I do not need a vow
of love in certainty, but merely hand o’er
a soft embrace in secret spaces. Sigh
in place of words, and we’ll stay here for now.

what is LOVE?

is love just...
an arrow's pierce,
dissent of logic,
under passion fierce!

turmoil in,state serene,
portraying far-off,pastures green,
blindfolded run,into mystique thick,
hands both,to nothingness pick!

nay, deeper is it than ocean's deep,
loftier than Everest steep!
delicate as a damsel's lash,
tiny,but the mightiest slash.

stronger than the strongest will,
enough to all obstructions ****,
heart tiny,when with desires soar,
love is not just this.....
it's much more!

Lately

Lately,
I've been thinking
and dreaming through that rose colored glass
those puffy white sheets
they swallow me
whispering "stay here"
and Oh, it's tempting,
comforting,
the light is only bearable through that glass.

She couldn't look past lovers in the eyes.
When realising it, she'd set them free.
She found him,
and fell in love with his eyes.
When realising it, she'd never want to set him free.

She eagerly brushes her fingers through her hair,
Pupils are dilating,
Biting of the lip but swiftly stops.
She was told not to.
Why, she thought, why couldn't she just listen.
Or maybe she did that too much.
He isn't there to stop her and she hates him for that.

She was pretty.
Scratch that.
She was beautiful.
Scratch that too.

She was more beautiful,
Than a sunrise on a winter morning.
Or a rainfall on an autumn day
Where the leaves dance in the wind
And fill the sky with life.
More beautiful than a flower
That breaks through the cracks
Of a concrete garden
And brings color to the air.
She was more beautiful,
Than any poem that's ever been written.

She was beautiful.
Scratch that.
She still is.
