To be desolate
in the depths.

Better than to love;
The heart shatters.

Lift;
Drop;
Descend
Splash.

Down drown sung breath;
Where divisions hold dear.

To float;
To sink;
To be
… where the void sees

Night; Day;
Surrender in turn

‘Til  to surrender is all there is…
And, echoes

Emit what was…

Hungry and tired,
I try to write this poem.

The only images
that come to mind
are the creamy white
mounds of your *******.

The world and
my mind
wobble as one.

This is both vertiginous
and thrilling.

Biology always trumps Art.

love
is a great subject
for a poem,
    or a novel,
       a movie,
or documentary

there have been discussions,
   studies,
       theories,
      thoughts,
and opinions

doctors have analyzed it
picked it apart
and made assumptions
to try and explain
this most complex
of emotions

every person feels it differently

some people embrace it
others fend it off passionately

it can be the most euphoric
of feelings
but also leave a person
devastated beyond relief

it has provoked suicide
and laid the groundwork
for ******

it is a feeling that can't be taught

there is no right
      and no wrong
way to go about it

every love affair
has a different start
and an unpredictable end

but one thing is certain
when the end does come
the scars it leaves
cannot ever
    be fully healed

so really...

is it truly better
to have loved and lost
than to never have loved
in the first place?

I miss everything about you,
today it was your voice!

I guess this is how it happens.
When you lose your heart it just finds new legs.
She's walking around with my heart in a box.
She just won't give it up even if I beg.

No wonder I can't find new loves.
Thought the switch was gone.
As soon as it comes it goes.
An empty spot where my heart was keeps me alone.

I can't fill up what I don't have.
I want more but it doesn't feel right.
Emptiness that finds me an early grave.
I want my heart back give up this spite.

I need a heart transplant.
To feel love one more time.
Something so simple won't you grant.
Emptiness un-befitting in my prime.

I need a heart transplant.

It's not enough to say "I'm perfect", it's perfect to say "I'm enough"

You dangled the carrot in front of me
Said you wanted to multiply
I knew of all your schemes and pipe dreams
But I happily obliged
Now you're gone
And I'm left with a bad taste in my mouth
Cause the milk has long expired
So much for all those times I went south
Not trying to be bitter
You had to move on to greener pastures
But you know as well as I
You couldn't get away faster
Can you blame someone
For giving up on a freak
Can you blame someone
For wreaking havoc on your heart
We're so far apart now
You're keeping up your disguise
And the only time I ever saw depth in your eyes
Is when you never said goodbye
