In a random crowd

You’re a face I haven’t seen

A glimpse of you, please?
"Daddy,"* said Catharine as I tucked her
into bed, "will you tell me a tale?"
So I told her the story
of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
with Disney's ***** and Grumpy
thrown in for good measure;
and when I finished she pulled out
an apple from under her pillow
and she said I should eat it
I laughed and I did, and spent 7 days in hospital
And my doctor said I was lucky to have survived
the poisoned apple
Catharine won't tell us where she got it from

Today Catharine stands before me
and her stepmom
as we have dinner
And she places two pink cupcakes on the table
and she smiles, and she whispers:
*"Eat...that's from Hansel and Gretel"
No Mortgage Will Be Due
(A happy poem)

Today I fulfilled a lifelong dream
That I wanted to share with you
I wrote a check and bought a house
No mortgage will be due

I had to work for what I want
Had hard times along the way
But knowing that each step I took
Would get me to this day

I did not spend all I have
On this house I will call home
I put some back for a rainy days
To help others who I know

I will share this home with my son
And one day will pass it on
So that he can give the gift of love
Like he gave me when he was born

So today I fulfilled a lifelong dream
That I wanted to share with you
I wrote a check and bought a house

No mortgage will be due

Just a happy poem from me to get the feeling out. These poems we write sometimes are not all lessons learned or touch your heart and make you cry poems. Some are just simply made to invite you to share a life journey. This is one of those.  I am inviting you to share with me this step in my life. Thank you for reading.
From the moment I met you, I loved you.
I just didn't know it yet.
I yearned, in denial, to be near you.
To catch a glimpse of your smile,
Cradle your laugh in my abstract mind.
A foreign drug I'll never forget.

Then, the explosion of passion, intense.
A release I'd never known.
Crash from one place to the next, electric.
The sparks your fingers trailed,
Still resonate through my head daily.
The roots have planted, the love has grown.
A forbidden love,
That can never be.
A heart that beats,
But can not see.
A choice,
That I must make.
To take a chance,
And risk a heart to break.
Or play it safe,
And leave it this way.
And deal with the feelings,
That won't go away
Don't matter you're a
big fish in a
small
pond
if
it's

DRY
