Death stops by to remind us
how beautifully fragile life is
and with her
you have gone away
and yet you are still here
in the quite moments
between my heart beat
and the silent space
between the tears falling
and I can still feel the warmth
of your laughter
and still hear the comfort
of your voice
I know not where you have gone
or if we will meet again
so what luck it was
what a privilege it has been
to have had you in it
my beautiful friend

Polar
I hear the rhythmic clapping
And feel the pounding of feet on the ground
As dust swirls and dances around
While I sit facing the sun
In all her divine beauty.
Encased in the wood of the red gum tree,
I am at peace.
Burnum carves my totem outside
Surrounded by holy men,
Loved ones and ancestors.
This is my signifier and protection.
I am Miki the moon
Recently returned to my tribe
Heeding the call of the spirits.
My people mourn deeply
But know I will come again
To be at one with them,
First I must commune with the great creator
Rainbow spirit of the sky
For now is the time for dreaming.
Thank you everyone for the likes/ loves and comments, you made my day special!! :0)

The boxes
which keep my blood clean
are stacked as tall as I,
a monument
in the spare room
to past battles.
Too many words,
too many thoughts
******* in the
hand-to-hand combat
with mortality.

No more.

What life I have
will not be defined
by an indeterminate end.

I live to write poems;
I will no longer die in them.
Camus knows.

Spring

is it finally here
with its softly pleasant ways

Spring

with blossoming cherries
and balmy days

Spring

breezes calm and fragrant
with petals replacing snow

Spring

blue sky, warm earth
where many colors grow

I'm ready for all of this
but Summer take your time

Sometimes you get
carried away
and create too hot a clime
Sometimes it feels as if we jump too soon into summer it feels more and more as if we are becoming a 2 season area, often skipping Autmn as well. I love the variety of 4 seasons and wou ld hate to lose that.

Early morning
Sitting on the bench

A blackbird came along
Stuffed his beak with straw

Then flew away
Building a nest I suspect
