never a dancer,
nor had I intended,
but you crafted me
from board-stiff limbs
and
with a lick and promise
I danced.

from the strings dangling down
from a heart-sporting sleeve,
a marionette I was
you tugged to the rhythms
you pulled through the silence
and against my intentions
I danced.
I've just created my first white bread loaves.
I've mixed every color, worn every shade.
I have pranced in foot-long heels,
Trying hard to gain a grasp...
But in mixing my yeast
Folding in my flour
letting my baby rise
and
Baking my loaves just right
I've never felt more confident in myself.
And that's a gift, eh?
May
She smiled like April

Breaking out of winter gloom;

She laughed with the fervor

Of a sudden shower in June.
For K, beautiful in a hundred ways.

if I could fly
upon the sky

into the silence and the cold

I'd write your name across the Moon
as it is written on my soul

held by the tide
that does not turn
showing the same side
day by day

no wind to blow

no fire to burn

no ocean to
wash you
away

I try to build
a castle
out of diamonds

flashing in the Sun

but they are smooth and sharp
and do not hold together

tzak
tzak
                  tzak

the castle falls apart

a dangerous sky
it is raining stars

What other kind              of creature could divide
Each different thing             into its different sides
With chaos versus             order, dark and light
The stark duality of         wrong and right
We even split the very        world in two
With human versus human,       we and you
But still no matter how much      we divide
Each thing has infinitely many      sides
