Through a black window
you struggle to see
the monster
gripping
and tearing
into me

help me
I'm hurting
I want to be free
the chains that i have
are attached to a broken piece
of me

stranded.

Through the black window
your mother lays rest
tending to flowers
and mending your dress.

she fails to see you crying there,
defending yourself
silently struggling
clearly shaking
screaming
pleading
needing

her.

He painted the window black
what a despicable deed.

I'm exhausted.

I think I'm done.

Are you proud?

You made me give up.

That's cool.

But,

just one thing

you know, before you leave.

I'm trying

REALLY trying.

To see why.

Why have you shattered

the temporary innocence

I had.

That was it

all I will ever get.

But you took it.

And

burned

it

down

Thank you though.

Without you I wouldn't be strong.

I WOULDN'T HAVE LEARNED

Learned...

what it's like to be

truly

really

absolutely

happy.

happy.

happy.

Such a word

doesn't belong in your possession

mom

me

my brothers

sisters

friends

are all suffering

because of you.

Dad I'm tired.

Let me sleep.

Go back to your jail cell.

Stay out of my dreams.
poured my heart out on that. sorry...

"We would be together

be warm in bed together

our relationship was
filled with toxic chemicals
that
     s l o w l y   but
                 s u r e l y
crept into
my body
               my head
                              my heart
the way your love
did.

Don’t walk behind me;
I may not lead.
Don’t walk in front of me;
I may not follow.
Just walk beside me
And be my friend.

I guess I’ll never understand
Why you cry yourself to sleep

Why you look in the mirror
      To see one missing piece

What must I do to help you
      Sleep sound
            When I’m not around...

You are complex, hard to read

But,

You are

perfect

to me.

Will the day come
when words stop
touching my heart.
when the words people say
won't tear me apart.
is it easier being an adult?
I hope age is not just a number,
but a savior,
awakened from a deadly slumber
doomed to walk again.
here to save, and heal pain.

but it doesn't seem that way...

Love what you have
Many of us can only wish

Sometimes I wish I could go back in time.
That wasn't how I wanted it to end.
You could've told me
Ya know

about how you felt that day
you didn't have to leave that
as the last time
I saw you.

I would've told you how I felt
how your worth is that of an angel.
but
you really are an angel now
silently flying
your beautiful music dying.

I wish you would've told me.

Ya know?

I promise I care.

I can't cry
I can just try
To forget the pain
To make the rain in my heart fade away.

It's just so ******* hard
When you can't even get mad
At your dumb mistakes
When you couldn't forget her face.

She sounded like a dream
Like a wish that couldn't be real.
