Don't ever say those special words
you think I wanna hear
Unless you speak them from your heart,
four words, "I love you, Dear"!

Just mean them like no other words
true love one can't define;
Unless they feel just what we share,
pure love like yours and mine!

Don't ever leave me when you're mad
not one foot out the door;
Let's make amends before you go,
don't ever leave me sore!

Don't take our love for granted once,
true love for only one;
Don't put it off, just say it now,
tomorrow may not come!

So love me now 'til day is done,
just show me how you care;
Make every moment count the best,
in love, this love we share!

We've chatted now for quite sometime
we've made it work our way;
We've learned so much about each one
grown closer day by day!

We've shared some things that might of hurt
we've talked for hours on end;
We've shed some tears and laughed at times,
grown closer than just friends!

It may be quick to feel this way;
my mind is now at ease;
One feeling in my heart I know,
true love and inner peace!

We've said it now, these simple words
yet words all from the heart;
I found it's true a man CAN fall
though many miles apart!

There's still so much we've yet to learn.
those little things we do;
But know we found one common thing,
this love 'twixt me and you!

I'd like to paint a picture now,
   a photo of just us;
To pen the words, the feelings of
   this masterpiece called love!

The sun is shining bright today
   white diamonds on the seas
The birds all chirping joyful sounds
   while soaring in the breeze!

The sky so blue, not one small cloud,
   horizon meets the land;
Soft waves are washing on the shore
   our footprints in the sand!

Your gorgeous eyes are pinned on me,
   still can't believe you're mine,
To kiss your soft and tender lips
   no words could 'ere define!

I pull you in to hold you close
   to whisper in your ear;
Just all the things you mean to me
   just how I love you Dear!

Not many people on this earth
   have love to ours compare;
A special kind, the best of loves,
   true love, the love we share!

When we're called up home to Heaven,
   finally across the Great Divide;
Meet our Savior there in person,
   as those gates swing open wide.

When we take that trip to glory,
   just beyond the western sky;
All our troubles will be over,
   no more tears will dim the eye!

As the roll is called up yonder,
   hear my Jesus call your name;
All our bodies will be perfect,
   just our souls remain the same.

Oh, we'll meet so many people,
   when the Saints all gather 'round;
All rejoicing, singing praises,
   not one face will wear a frown!

Yes, I"m sure there'll be some dancing,
   with the lame man moving free;
Bet you'll hear a bit of shouting
   since the blind man now can see!

Sure we'll see familiar faces,
   of our loved ones gone before;
With eternity together,
   now can walk the Golden shore!

What a joyful time will be then,
   when He takes us by the hand;
Leads us Home with Him forever,
   to sweet Home in Beulah Land!

If I could make a list right now,
   regrets of my own past;
It'd take too long to list them all,
   in this short time I have.

I've asked forgiveness for them all,
   forgiven for each one;
But still some haunt me everyday,
   they're never really gone.

I keep my head up pressing on,
   now tryin' to do what's right;
I fight each battle as they come,
   to win each war at night.

I take the things I learned from past
   and all the battles won;
I use them daily for the best,
   to change the road I'm on

I find the strength to live each day,
   do better from the start;
To fan the flames of better man
   that burn inside my heart.

I know I'm better than I've been,
   far better than the past;
To live each moment here on Earth
   just like 'twil be my last!

It's all about those precious times,
   each little memory made;
So live your life to do what's right
   if only for today!

I take a pause to write these words,
   to say what's on my mind;
To tell you 'bout a man I know
   with strength so near divine.

He's quite amazing in each way,
   a beacon on life's shore;
He stands alone no matter what,
   his goal, to serve my Lord!

He follows close when God commands
   for him to do his part;
In everything he does his best,
   in life, He's left his mark.

I'm blessed to not just know this man,
   he raised me from a lad;
You see, he's so much more to me,
   my father, friend, and dad!

He raised me right to know the way,
   to God, the narrow path;
He prayed those times I ran so hard
   for God to spare His wrath!

I pray some way I've made him proud,
   when time on earth is done;
I write these words to tell him now:
   "I'm PROUD to be your son!"

Then when time comes, the roll is called,
   the saints all gathered 'round;
I'll stand SO proud to see my Dad
   receive each one his crowns!
I wrote this one as a tribute to the strongest most Godly man I know, My father. I love you dad!

There's but one lady in my life
   who means this much to me;
A humble lady bent on love,
   best mother that can be!

There's not once been a love so true,
   for any man on earth;
A patient love you'll never find,
   a special love since birth!

With just "the look" she kept me straight,
   I'd want for wrong no more;
Though times I felt the battle won,
   but momma won the war!

There's many a time I've let her down,
   but still she stood right here;
With strength a thousand legions strong
   and love you can't compare!

Not once she ever turned on me,
   with her I'm more than blessed;
'Cause any time I ran to her,
      she stood with arms outstretched!

She's always been a pillar there,
   for me to lean upon;
No greater love can one man find
   than love from just his mom!

So, mother dear, I thank you now,
   for guidance from afar,
For loving me and holding me--
   for EVERYTHING you are!
I wrote this to the first true love in my life...My beautiful mother!! I love you mom!
