behind our mask
are priceless celebrations
and faces we carry
from the past
they mean the world to us
besides who or what
has occurred they mold us
into who we are
shimmering images
with mouths and hair and eyes
that gaze back - pondering
we grasp and resuscitate
them over and over
in open tracks
where they float by
in slow moving trains
expressively staring
with their hands and the side
of their face pressed against
the glass
uttering something
we pause to lift our head
to catch that special
glimpse again
of their beautiful
subdued expression
that fades away
into the distance
only to return cold still
at another time
and all we can do then
is look down at our hands
and notice the lines
that have become
more intense
each time
the train
goes by.

its all naming and any ones guess
where we truly are:
Lost in presumed space
or not lost at all
He's finding his way back to sanity, again
Carefully trending through his shadows
desperate for changes, and starving for truth
He's still hanging by the moment he held on to.

His heart was calculative and cold
But he now sits in warm embrace.

He still knows his lovers face,
But he longs for love's new taste.

His chains have been broken
And he now walks free
He's spinning around, but hanging  on tight
This time he will gracefully fall into heaven's true embrace.
It represents:
Freedom,
Hope,
Pain,
Dope,
Love,
Strength,
Weakness
And whatever
You want it
To.
It is a symbol
On our wrists,
To cover the scars
And say,
"Make a wish."
An upside down
Crown
Can mean so much
to a group of people
That speak in 140
Characters or less.

Celery

Such a simple thing
But so complicated

Does it add weight?
Or take it?

Sort of like bacteria
Is it good for us?
or bad?

Coming from unknown shores, arrived these Western boats,
with disastrous as well as deceitful tactics they took our gold,
jump to the modern era, they are the ones' promoting ***,
they bare minimum death rates due to *** and Aids,
while African's lives in bitter ruins as the notion of "safe ***" seems perplex.
*** promotion misconstrued as our kids continue ****** the old,
Such consequences were never told,
when they sold us back our own gold.
Systematical control is now the definer of societies
Africans not taught of Qamatha but tested on Socrates,
African souls enticed into materialism by paper and cheese,
while Western supremacists economically ****** African Identities.
African child, fight back please!
This poem aims to tell the untold truth about the legacy of colonialism and imperialism as well as the effects of modern day capitalism on the African child.
