Rock bottom fooled me, I thought I had burst through the ceiling. Now, I'm in a state of self-reflection wishing I had never felt this feeling.
Death reverberated through the tunnels of my mind, chanting it's threats. Still, these threats are only minor obstacles. However, these obstacles have increased in size as I increase in age.

Even in the face of death,
we humans still find time to post about how strong we are, and use our new found following to boost out social status.
"I WILL MISS YOU." They say, beckoning for more followers, yearning for validation and suppressing the deepest of sorrow by replacing it with self-loathing, posting about how much we miss our loved ones, and pushing the emotions away.
This is the new human way.
This is the new human race.

Of course everyone likes the rebel,
We as humans love to go against the grain but are too afraid to take the risk. So when someone does before us, we return to the line one regret older, waiting for another chance to prove to ourselves that...We Are Human.
"To prove to ourselves (that)... We Are Human.
Didn't want to include the "that."
