I am no better than the drunkard in the alley, and no worse than the guy in the mansion. In fact, the guy in the mansion probably did more bad things to get to the "top" than the drunkard did to reach the "bottom"

you lit a fire, but I let it burn
I fan the flames as they rage
one of these days I will have my turn

embers are only left to see

colors come in more than just two hues
things are different from different views

the demons brought to light

If you keep banging on the devil's door
someone is bound to answer

have their blood lapped up by panthers

when bad things are done for good
we are taking chances

the devil always dances

watch your step

stay away from who the move chooses

she was telling me about someone who died
I just couldn't wrap my head around it
it never made any peace in my mind
peace, only the dead have found it

Change the filter, your words are blowing smoke
although, it's so good to get to know a joke
your flow was all for show, so it broke
your punch lines are the same old poke

the words you spoke are the broken kind
roped in words, full of hoping blind
so many token finds, you need some coping time

(this isn't a jab, and is about saying the same old things, like the old sayings that don't make any sense. Even though they get us nowhere, we still use the same old phrases. I think we do it for a scapegoat, to keep us from having to really think.)

The ghosts of Christmas past
are making their presence last
the ghosts of Christmas present
are making my life unpleasant
the ghosts of Christmas future...

It's time to release this beast
**** this disease with a feast for the least
turn the keys that free the deceased
decrease the seething and increase the peace

oh no, my eyes start to glow, I got something to say and it's coming from my soul
so low, my whole starts to show, letting go of what I know and holding on to what I owe

I choose what's good for the goose
to bruise the losing and let the gander loose
tune the fuse and use the fruitful juice
truth coming through to loosen the noose

That dwelling on evil makes me evil
Without the thought of evil, there is no evil

The same goes for all the sad things I dwelled on.
I see the ones who tried to make me good,by threatening evil upon me, and then bringing evil upon me.
My alone time, has left me alone.

I actually tried to see mostly good, but then I fall deeper into the bad things

It is in our consciousness...and we didn't put it there to begin with.
I was innocent?
I'm not even sure I was ever innocent

i was there, i held the door open
i was left standing, waiting and hoping
i was bare,  i was so broken
i am still in pieces, just living and coping

If love were ever alive, it was alive inside of our hearts
maybe where one love leaves off, another love soon starts
that doesn't mean that there's no pain, yes it really smarts
maybe one heart can be put back together, where the other parts
