Boy:  I saw her today
Girl:  I bumped into him earlier
Boy:  She's never looked better
Girl:  He still looks the same
Boy:  I couldn't stop staring at her
Girl:  He couldn't even look me in the eye
Boy:  I was happy to see her
Girl:  I felt awkwardness on his part
Boy:  I gave her a big smile
Girl:  He was being polite
Boy:  I asked her how she was
Girl:  It was just small talk
Boy:  I remembered the good times we had
Girl:  He's probably happier now
Boy:  I still love her
Girl:  He doesn't care for me
Boy:  I mean it
Girl:  He never meant it
Boy:  I want to see her again
Girl:  He's just saying that
Boy:  I want her back
Girl:  He's moved on
Boy:  I held her close, hoping she'll know
Girl:  He hugged me, then he let go
Boy:  I asked if I could call her later
Girl:  He said goodbye
Boy:  I lost her
Girl:  I love him so much...

She’s a poor, wounded soul

you can’t make her whole

To early she’s grown old

her story would make you cold

Anxiety is what makes her tick

each day a new wall built, brick by brick

Your priviledged if she lets you in

a momentary glance of what she holds within

Cherish anything she shares willingly

but you’ll never know, her, not entirely

Planning her swan song daily

while smiling at some, gaily

I thought
You were so pretty
Once,
But I looked again
And looked closely
Shoddy makeup
And insecure eyes
Hiding what?
I couldn't tell
Until now,
Notice how you
Can't make eye contact
With me,
And all I can do
Is look down on you,
Thinking back to when
I would have laid down
A red carpet for you,
And now even dead rose petals
Don't deserve to fall before you,
Only ashes will linger
Like dust in the sunlight
Through the shutters
As I burn all that you ever meant...

She quintessentially embodied the phrase
‘Paragon of beauty’
Perfectly chiselled face
Symmetrical features and a smile that could
Smoulder one’s heart in a millisecond
She had an aura of nonchalance around her
And an umbrella delicately balanced over her head
Despite it being scorching hot
She walked as if in fear of hurting
The very ground she trod on
Attracting surreptitious glances from passers-by.
I stood rooted to the exact spot I had stood ages before
In utter awe and wonderment at the breath taking sight I beheld
Then out of the blue she appeared to be on the verge of kissing the ground
I instantaneously lurched forward to her rescue
She, landing appropriately in mine outstretched arms
The look on her face * priceless*
Discomfiture and fear apparently evident on her face
Soothingly I assured her all was indeed well
Whilst revelling in the idea that I had come to the rescue
Of the exceedingly beautiful lady.

Thou art so conniving
You conspire to purge me of my sense of reasoning
Leaving me bare to suffer the perils of an incongruous world
Belittled by all and sundry
Or how else do you explain a scenario where
The words I am sorry are too heavy a spittle
To be spoken to a loved one to whom I’ve wronged
Severing a lifelong relation in the process
Could be am being too ******* you
And that you are so patronisingly benevolent
Condescendingly overseeing my rise up the social ladder
Trouncing and prancing on the shrewd and their kind
Either way I salute your ingenuity
Indeed keep up the uncanny spectacle.
