I was putting on jeans.
My dog was smiling.
Sun was coming in the window behind us.
We were there
reflected in the screen
of the old tv I had fixed myself.
A second sun
was reflected there with us.

I was young.
My dog was alive.
We would watch "The Adding Machine"
on the old tv that afternoon.
I was getting sober.
The room was small.
It was years ago
and I didn't know
that I would remember that morning
forever.

the engine running full throttle
all the way to an empty gas tank
a final silent rolling of the wheels

descending, ascending
resting awhile

sustenance, re-energised
travel on

mountainous switchbacks
seemingly lost

through cloud and mist
suddenly sunshine.

Soul
Still searching,
still,
still...
I know,
I do know
its here,
but just cant find it.
It's in my hands,
it should be,
but,
but still,
I cant see...
It's just me,
and no one else
knows.
I deserve it,
I need it,
still,
still,
still searching...
I am scared...
Scared
...
Have you felt the same way, when you are, just in the same situation? Scared? Do you feel it?
My heart fills with joy
Each time I see HP notifications coming by.
“Someone loved your poem” makes me believe,
Confidence blooming in words I weave.

I smile while reading comments in delight,
Each word feels like a guiding light.
“Someone reposted it” gives me gentle thrills,
A kindness that lingers, a warmth that instills.

And when my poem starts trending high,
I whisper thank you, with tears in my eye.

Poet B
My dreams are my minds release,
nightmares are my cage,
I am usually locked up.
I say the words
That may or may not help me
I say the names
That may or may not be heard.
I cry the daily tears
That may or may not heal me
And gather up the strength
To face another day of pain
Without a bird outside my window.
