Dark n Beautiful
My yesterday
Rebutting my yesterday
Where my pains subsides and my
My imperfections and failures are
as much a blessing from God
~
I did my share of crying,
took my disappointment with thrive.
When life wasn’t fair,
I borrow against my
Promissory note, knowingly I couldn’t repay
I have taken so many tests,
The result always came back the same
so close
yet fail to grasp it.
~
My heart has been trampled and beaten
Somehow, I embrace, I forgive
And came back stronger
Friends all tried to warn me but I held my head up high
Knowingly imperfections and failures are
Much as a blessing from God
My yesterday was only twenty-four hours ago
The clocks go forward,
I lose an hour In the fall - I gain ...
a piece of yesterday

The dark crescents
under your eyes
become
indicators of
stress and wear.
Wrinkles line
your forehead
where smooth skin
once presided.
Cracks
in your heart
become visible
to those around you --
it's the absence
of light
in your eyes,
it's the lack
of enthusiasm
in your laugh.
At the end of
the day,
you find yourself
staring into the mirror...
Wondering when life
passed you by.

The thought
of you
interlocked
with him
as
we used to be
drives
me
to pure
insanity.
I don't know anymore.

It is easy to imagine
with paper and a pen
It is so easy to pretend
that everything is fine
When you write the endings
  the story is your own
You control it all
there doesn't have to be villains
People of the gruesome kind
you tell the stories inside your mind

Still Crazy
when it is and of the
not necessary
to say
you are most welcome,
for that now,
super superfluous...

comes the moment
when words
even for the
never-satisfied poets and writers,
know their verses parsed
are not
the perfect contentment

compositon syllables of
mere,
if such could ever be mere,
knowing eyes and trace smiles
deign by design,
to say it all...

words, eloquent, plain, heartfelt,
or greeting card professional are insufficient,
unnecessary,
for the
smiling silences
says it better,
so much better...
unconditionally

MOMMY DEAREST*
sadly,
you killed everyone in your head
including the loving person i knew,
growing up with a best friend
that ended up being my mother,
and the past twelve years i watched
as you died and the heartbreak
you caused all who loved you
and by denying the help they gave you
by denying the help you needed
to accept reality the way *we
have to,
and so as you've killed us all
and isolated yourself to the point
that i'd had to write your eulogy,
for you couldn't accept your life's detachment
from everyone, ties you severed yourself,
and that me being the only one left
left me with no choice
but to bury you six feet deeper
than the demons i created on my own
because I can't take care of yours too
in the fifth circle of hell
after I've escaped purgatory senses
and discovered my freedom's as a man.
I hope they can forgive you and you can get your wings.
I'll cry harder this year watching It's A Wonderful Life alone when that bell rings.

Please, come closer
I wish to feel you near
So I can whisper
Something in your ear.
Three little words I call a secret,
A commitment I don't dare to say
But if you press on my heart
You'll feel it anyway.

Your kiss
Is like a snowflake
That doesn't stick to the ground

It can't last forever
But your happy with the time you've gotten
