When I listen to certain music my mind goes to certain places, depending on the type of music.

I have my sad playlist made when I need a good cry..
it has almost as many songs as my "I'm having a beautiful day and I feel like dancing playlist." I like to keep that one full, always adding new melodies to the bunch.

Music makes you open minded, it makes a person free, it lets a person feel accepted without feeling like a burden.

Music, for me, holds more power than my words written ever could.

The best part of it all? There's so many songs that have yet to be listened to, which means there's an infinity of journeys I have yet to take.

Gaffer
She had a breakdown in Washington
The plane had a malfunction in New york
I was pulling my hair out in New Mexico
The states we get ourselves into.

Mutual...
Like the beach,
sparkling with radiance.
Openly welcoming the soothing
caress of the waves.
Allowing them to
playfully tug
at her toes
before retreating back
into the ocean tide.

Mutual...
Like the leaf,
that shines amber
in the autumn sun.
Silently inviting the wind
to sweep it off the threats
of the brittle twig.
Trusting the breeze to set it aloft,
in a whimsical spiral
before releasing it gently
into the safety of the ground below.

Mutual...**
Like you and I.
As we confidently
match each other's
gait in a display
of song and dance.
Though our exchange
remains unworded,
the promise of love
rings clear within
the clasp of your
willing hands
in mine.

Star Gazer
She is the sun,
And I the moon.
Her beauty was immeasurable,
And her sunny day warmth,
Was that of a volcano.

She is the sun,
And I the moon,
We came from different worlds,
Held different times
And lived different lives.

She is the sun
And I the moon,
And every morning,
I would have died
Just so her beauty shone.

She is the sun
And I the moon,
And with every breath I drew
I only ever knew,
There was no girl comparable.

She is the sun
And I the moon,
But as I lay weary eyes at sunrise,
Her spectral figure appears in my dreams,
And I lived for that moment.

She is the sun,
She was my sun.
My light
And my day.
Till she went away,
And I, the moon
Wandered around
Aimlessly at night,
Staring at stars.

Tom Blake
I wash
My body in the sea
Waves
Wash
Over me
Waves greater than me
Powerful and strong
Tsunami!
Yet,
I feel
Your liquid Purify Me
Your strength petrify me!

I swim
Back
To the shore...
As
My Soul
Can't  take it anymore.
