I love poetry. I love everything about it. How it gives you the freedom to write from the heart, allowing you to express yourself in anyway you choose. You can choose to follow a pattern, you can create a beautiful picture with just words,you can make a poem as long or short as you need to.. They don't need to be perfect, they just need to mean something to you. You can make it anything you want. I didn't really appreciate this until I was in my junior year of high school. I never used to even like reading poems, but my teacher gave me a new appreciation for them. She gave me something that I will always be thank full for, she helped me to see poetry in a new light and gave me a new way to express myself that has since, helped me get through some difficult times. I can't even begin to say how greatfull I am for this. Thank you so much Mrs.Edwards. I hope more people are able to find the beauty and peace a poem can bring.
