Black and white
Envelop me:
Patterns of letters
Form words
That tell a story,
That introduce me to
Another realm,
Away from reality,
Into a world that is
My own.

Eat
Eat
You are not an animal carcass
You are more than your bones
Flesh shall not rot of your being
You are soil
Bountiful and nutrient
Meant to sustain life
Grow
Grow violets in your belly making you full
swell and fill
like a tide you expand and then shrink
but you are a garden
grow

What defines a person as an artist?
The way we talk,
The way we walk,
How we interact with one another,
How we choose to disturb the universe,
Is art.

You and I, are artists
Simply because we are alive.

T. S. Eliot
As she laughed I was aware of becoming involved
in her laughter and being part of it, until her
teeth were only accidental stars with a talent
for squad-drill. I was drawn in by short gasps,
inhaled at each momentary recovery, lost finally
in the dark caverns of her throat, bruised by
the ripple of unseen muscles. An elderly waiter
with trembling hands was hurriedly spreading a
pink and white checked cloth over the rusty
green  iron table, saying: ‘If the lady and
gentleman wish to take their tea in the garden,
if the lady and gentleman wish to take their tea
in the garden…’ I decided that if the shaking
of her ******* could be stopped, some of the
fragments of the afternoon might be collected,
and I concentrated my attention with careful
subtlety to this end.

Constellations of broken blood vessels
Create a galaxy on my fair skin
The solar system that is my body
Becomes tainted by you.
Shades of purple and red change
To yellow and green;
An aurora borealis of lust.
