When I first laid eyes upon you,
I realised we were bound.
I knew that our futures would find it true,
That we are bound by the red thread of destiny.

As I hold you in my arms,
Feel your warm breath, brush against my throat,
I know that I will never let you come to harm,
Because our ankles are bound, by the red string of fate.
An invisible string wrapped around the little finger is what binds humanity together, is a popular Japanese and Chinese legend.
