Light fades.
Darkness consumes.

All that was living fades into death
To be reborn in the life of spring

But some things will never taste vitality again
For their time has come
And just as quick did it pass

Their leaves will never be green again
They have turned brown
Only to decay into the earth
To bring about new life.

Time begins to slow
Hearts stop beating
Silence.
Some things can never be reversed.
