The ocean
Is fearsome.
Water blankets much of Earth.
But I prefer land.
The water,
Home to monsters unbeknownst,
To depths uncharted.
The water,
That can ****,
Destroy.
The water is powerful,
And merciless.
It is oblivion,
No means of direction,
Of hope.
I fear the ocean,
The wide open blue.
It suffocates.
I need land.
Feet firmly on the ground.
Wat'ry walls won't wash away my sins.
Only my hope.
