For the warmth of the world
I will dig
Down into its bowels
Past the heart
Through the back
Its hidden, what I seek
For nothing is quite so far away
As the uncertain future.

Don't test me with what I can't handle
But beat me with woes and work
Don't ask me to
Lie
Because I will do it anyway
Lying is my heartbeat.
Thumping behind my eyes.

So, it's you and me
Sealed together like so many letters
So, it's us,
Digging for warmth
In a soil heart.
