How do you keep up with the lie?
A lie I already knew the truth of.

You pretended to be wounded
Slowly crawling your way to me.

Selfishness speaking bold words
Blaming me
Trying to keep me
Confusing me
When I, my dear, already knew the truth.

You stabbed me, and hide the knife
And I stabbed you, you ask why.

The sky never seemed more darker
with these thoughts running threw my head
craving for something to feed on
I try to shut them up
lock them up in a wooden box
and throw them into the river where hopes drown
But as they wrap around my wrist
puncturing my heart along with it
I remember the key was in my pocket.

She was ice cold in midwinter
Cause cold was all she knew.

Yet, even the most solid ice melt
With a little affection
With most compression
And a heart full of patient.

She still delays
Because someday
Her guard will yield
At someone capable enough
To make her ice melt.
