Born through a ******,
Symbolising how pure he had to be..
How perfect he would live to be worthy of dying for all our sins..
Holy above all humanity so that if we repent in his name,we may live in his righteousness.
Glory be to the prince of peace,
Oh hail the King! Bless the Lord!
We commemorate his birth because of his greatness beyond measure... Love too big and grace too deep.
Jesus Christ, our reason for the season!

It is now Christmas Eve
a time of color and story..
We attend services and anticipate
remembering a story of one
said to reconcile and bring peace..
Our minds when immersed
in these colorful trappings
may sense separation..and rebel..
Rebellion is temporary and
soon bathed in good cheer
another Christmas..another year..
Perhaps some will find
their dissonance ending
with a sudden note of White..
All of those lights
are a lurking background
awaiting our invitation..
But invitation seems unneeded
as background comes forward
flooding our manger
with new Recognition...
Merry Christmas to our HP family..!!

Four Sides

Over time
You may find
That both the heart and mind
Have four sides

While one side's wide open
One side's closed tight
One side sees the future
While the other is blind

The open side rolls easy
The other has no stride
The future side no darkness
Where the blind sees no light

Which side do you cling to
In your heart and mind
Now that you know
They both have four sides
Without darkness
We cannot see light -
Gifted,
For good measure.

I seem to remember all the little things
About me and you
The up's and downs, the in's and outs
All we used to do

All a part of life
In what we both went through
Still I wonder where I was
On the day that I lost you

Bringing into mind
All the memories
The ones that stayed behind
The ones that never leave

As quickly as they come
That's how quickly out they move
Which has me in constant wonder
Where I was when I lost you

There is no one more than me
That stands alone in the dark
Over where we were and used to be
Over where we both now are

We both shared the one key
To every door that we passed through
Now I'm here just trying to see
Where was I when this fell through
On the day that I lost you
