breathing in her green
life renewed and exceeding
unknown views now seen

opaque moonlit sight
murky light on frozen white
illumes winter nights

is anything real
my thoughts caught in passing clouds
flying by geese wave

empty faces
unfamiliar gazes
sheep grazers
pointed lasers
etching razors
on bleeding skin

life's a cheeseburger
all the really juicy stuff
happens in between

some dwell on matter
just seeing touching hearing
as if nothing else

under the veil
hidden in darkness
bright lights blind

shadows disappear
like dreams end as bells strike twelve
when lights allowed in

youthful dreams fullfilled
springtimes eternal promise
looking back fondly

many moons ago
summer heat would never fade
wishing for the cold

leaves restless rustle
cooling winds fading to brown
frozen ground below

late sun still warming
milky glacial stream slips by
as twilight life goes

smoldering embers
outside lighter shades aglow
cool september day

waxing nighttime lord
overshadowed by brighter
awaits his darkness

the air between us
