lost in wonderment
how such miracles occur
to people like me

remote control lives
just skipping all life's moments
what were we watching

stare into yourself
beyond those familiar lines
into the hidden

just looking at her
she is as she's always been
eternal beauty

lost their human's rights

corrupt governments
pillaging their own people
with just signs to fight

they let it happen
trusting in greedy humans
no one else to blame

lessons never learned
our founding fathers teachings
history repeats

pondering the past
all those little troubles had
smiling at my kids

rewind yesterday
play back over and over
like catchy love songs

her world ***** me in
funnels me willingly down
lifting the tubs drain
cleansed again by her sweet sweat
dripping on our bathroom floor

when life pulls the rug
falling certainly harder
enjoy solid ground
as long as you may have
for it's never that way long

hearing you breathing
lays my restless mind at peace
soothing me asleep

cold whisper
froze this beating heart
until spring

dark clouds loom
promising bad news

forest walking time
