I hear the sad procession slowly wailing
Mourning jazz lightens the steamed heavy air
How queer for them to dance that way
Thunder roars on their own parade
Acting somber tears fueled by  bourbon
on a worn out and too well known street
It's beauty sadness and life ending this somber
Way, but alas the 'Brella is show, no rain today

never stopping time
slipping through grasping fingers
wrinkled through ages

******* laughed today
Would'a bet the farm he was gone
Sure as shoot, he's back
Swiped my springtime glee, covered
summer frolicking in snow

From the heights of ever rising tower peaks
To plummeting depths of fertile valleys below
The spring of life is always gushing forth  
From south to north deep pools to shallow
Forever in rhythm and tied by this land hallowed
revered and worshiped in her Paradise Valley home

the carcass sailed in
nauseous tide, fully seasoned
frenzied ***** fidget

alone, wolfs been tracking me
around every corner I see him
big, gray, beastly, black fangs
tempting me to veer off to fear
to lose my place, panic, scream
I've seen him before, he's as cold
as his hot metalic tinged breath
Life comes to him but never goes
time to stand my ground, I need
a new wolf skin pelt to lay on

sometimes life and even time catch you
leaving trails in a quagmire of your past dues
tread in regret’s ***** stew no future new
muddied rear view becoming your only view

destiny determined
onward to eternity
pacific kings spawn

a poet writes alone
alone with you, reading his tone
inside, moved, alone

Leaves talking to the wind
Low tide water lapping in
Hints of someone near

snake oil selling man

Metal beacons show the rising sun
Thanks for the reminder

something magical
witnessing another sun
setting so slowly

one half percent chance
my youngest's long odds for birth
miracles happen
now fifteen short years later
high school freshman teenager

among such chaos
slithering snakes flick forked tongues
while people slumber
having covered eyes opened
into a living nightmare

smoldering embers
outside lighter shades aglow
cool september day

Your my little free wheeling child
I knew the moment I saw
Your crystal clear blue eyes, wide
Most vibrant golden orange hair
porcelain dove toned skin, live!
your mother gave you that famous glow
thank me for the side they call wild

Summer of Love child born too late
for the rush, me too, but you caught the wave

provided great grand dad shade
chanterelles new home
termite trails, complete decay
rocking in his front porch swing

Head in the clouds, aloof! they cry
but there it is again, in the bright early Alaskan sky
pinkish peachy hues catch my eye
how can I not stop and sigh
and quietly scream, Oh my!
that's a souls warm hug kind of high
the only high I will not deny

been ripped open, stripped bare before
freshly laid wounds traversing old scars
left wondering, why life lessons are so hard

morning breaks on through
legs rub, blood fills beating hearts
eyes still closed, we embrace

Birches still slumber
gentle breezes brush spring leaves
bears begin stretching
strolling quiet dawn marshes
birds chirp their lumbered approach

cloudy head morning
ethanol fueled brain banging
to much tequila

evil eye
no one ever sees
it spies you

Sent it on a breeze
Carried all my hopes and dreams
In a box tail kite

Salt water rising up
Sweet oysters on silver ships
And I with no coffee

to then fro
which way to go
the squirrels choice

why say goodbye
ask yourself
they rarely are

lithium battery swag
hydrocarbon bad

I pray for them all
The good,the bad, the ugly too
Friends and enemies
Lenient  hearts demand it so
Forgiveness will set you free

Bundled up on the Aluetian coast
On some brisk breezy Bering Sea roost
I turn my glass to a young feathered crew
A King Eider mother counting her brood
She counted once then twice
Found her missing wobbler
Fighting under floating ice
Picked pecked and prodded
The little prince finally herded
and nested warm and nice

My merry go round,
rollercoaster, titl-a-whirl
wild rides can’t describe
you, me riding along in
helmet, **** strap, shoulder pads

summer rivers surge
onward push, life's final quest
banks silver linings
spawning generations new
natures wonders on display
