picture perfect face
early morning light, shining
nature's early yawn
spying your angelic eyes
love graced mornings deep embrace

mountain getaway
mile high gaze, cloudless sky daze
my still mind, amazed

thinking optional
big brother has the power
to decide for you
now all pressure is released
back to regular scheduling

within an instance
praying mantis pounce on prey
blink and it's over

The dust is quenched
Baby blue with silver skies now
Every storm passes on

How easy you spread pain
Mindlessly sharing your misery
The sun shelters me

She’s tougher then nails
Stronger then oak, but shaking
What rattles mountains
Upon which my walls are built
anchored deep in her bedrock

citrus clouds ascend
converge above bleakened scenes
uplifting spirits

sliding on glass tops
fins slicing mercury lips
wet wind shuts my eyes

last days end
among light yawning
before dark

my personal flame
flickering heated passion
burning me within

evening conflict
crickets chatter for light
fire flies signal night

master weave
spinners killer side
beauty hides

signs for lines
segregated lives
genocide

Silver tails overhead
Green heads skirt the pond
I remain grounded

the air snapped coldly
barking out crisp harsh orders
forgetting my coat

White caps on the  inlet
Only the crows stand obstinate
As the sky turns black, forbidding flught

J never have time
To catch up on moments lost
Where did it all go

Drawing hearts in the sand
Using your toes not your hand

Gazing and watching nervously praying
Please Lord let it stay

Only to watch the wind and waves play
with heart shaped sand away

it's been a tidal ebb and flow
moments of bliss then the lows follow
I long and pray for the lake days
the general ease of the lake malaise
something said for the lake life
less current and less strife
Now we are in the open ocean
rogue waves and that washer motion
better plot our course and to it we stick
slip into a safe harbor, with wounds to lick
The boats been rocking on this voyage
thank god we have each other in this turbulent age

light blinds darkened eyes
hidden from enlightened skies
under clouds they hide

silver shimmers
placid ponds his soul mirror
quiet reflection

My mind starts flooding
Thoughts of water, warm water
To wash it away
